IHG 跟萬豪在會員生日的時候，都會給帳戶推送禮物。IHG 的活動大概自 2016 年開始，每年生日之後，會贈送 1000 積分，雖然 IHG 積分價值不高，但也聊勝於無。萬豪則是贈送一個定級房晚（不是房券，方便你衝級、保級），雖然都只是小福利，但也是順手可拿。筆者在今年 11 月底的時候，也順利拿到這兩個酒店計劃的生日禮物；如果你沒有留意，系統是不會主動發給你的（或者因為系統問題漏發給你，例如萬豪）。

考慮到不少讀者都可能需要這些資訊，因此將原本發在 101 快訊的文章整理到這裏。下面簡單總結一下如何領取，以及漏發後怎樣補登。

大前提

無論是 IHG 還是萬豪，要獲得帳戶生日禮物，你都必須預先將生日資料綁定到帳戶內。若已綁定生日資料，而且剛好在生日當天入住酒店，還有機會收到額外驚喜。

  • IHG 新增路徑：前往 IHG 官網 → 找到個人資料（Personal Information）→ ADD Birthdate
  • 萬豪新增路徑：前往萬豪官網 → Profile → Personal Info → Date of birth 新增資料即可

注意：生日資料新增後，如要更改，都需要聯絡客服。

IHG 帳戶生日禮物

IHG 的帳戶生日禮物是 1000 IHG 積分，自 2016 年起至今一直如此。最開始 IHG 會發送電郵提醒，以免你忘記。後來 IHG 就不再發送電郵，改為在你的 IHG app 或網頁帳戶內推送 Message。並且你需要先註冊活動，才能獲得積分。筆者 11 月底生日，剛好在生日後一天就在 app 內收到通知。路徑如下，逐步點擊即可：

接下來按要求點擊，註冊活動即可。

  • 註冊連結（如果你還未過生日，或者沒有綁定生日，你不會被定向）

註冊後會收到電郵通知，積分也是即時到帳的，My offer 裏可以看到活動名稱為“Birthday Gift”：

  • 今年的活動似乎到 2020 年 3 月 31 日截止，之後應該還會續辦

積分則會顯示為“Register For Offer”

如何補登

如果你在生日之前已經將生日資料綁定到帳戶內，只是自己忘了註冊，可以先試試上面的連結；如果不行，再試試聯絡客服。

註：可能由於太多人需要補登，萬豪官方應該已經意識到系統問題，也可能正在修復自動發放房晚的系統，但你仍然可以試試以下方法。H/T：讀者 genius110

萬豪一直有會員生日福利，在你生日的時候送你一個定級房晚（birthday Elite night credit），用於保級、衝級的定級房晚數。萬豪聯名卡每年可以送 15 晚定級房晚，加上生日這一晚，總共就有 16 晚，距離 Platinum 的 35 晚還差 19 晚。如果再到酒店開個會獲得 10 晚定級房晚（已取消），你每年只需要再自己住 9 晚就可以保級。

萬豪在與 SPG 合併之前，這項福利一直很穩定，基本上不會漏發；但自從與 SPG 合併後，這個定級房晚就大面積漏發。筆者去年還能正常收到，今年 11 月底再次到生日的時候就發現沒有發送。

如何補登

補登的方法主要有兩種：

  • 直接聯絡客服（電話、電郵或者 Twitter 等渠道）
  • 註冊 Marriott insiders 論壇，發起申請

前一種方法已被證明效率較低，客服往往不能第一時間幫你解決，還需要開 case 調查；唯一的好處是有機會先收到 1000 points 的 Good Will points，但後續大概率仍然補登不了。

Marriott insiders 其實是萬豪會員的一個論壇，透過這裏發送補登申請就容易得多。

如果你的 SPG 帳戶還沒有與萬豪合併，而且兩者使用同一個電郵地址，你只能註冊一次 insiders 帳戶，找到 CustomerSupport 發起申請

填寫基本資料後，隨便寫點內容，寫上 request birthday Elite night credit 即可

通常第二天就可以收到回覆，客服的回覆比較制式： 

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to us here at Insiders. In order for us to look into this on your behalf we need you to reply to this message from your Insiders inbox (not email) and confirm:

1. That your birthday was listed in your account before it occurred
2. That you have had a stay in the last year
3. That you are subscribed to receive all correspondence from Marriott Bonvoy including the News & Program Information, and Offers from our Partners

If you can confirm the above please let us know by replying to this message from your Insiders inbox(not your email) and we will look into adding your birthday Elite night credit.
If your birthday was less than 10 days ago please wait a full 10 days to see if you receive an email with a link to collect your birthday Elite night credit before reaching back out to us to look into it on your behalf.

Please keep in mind this is not a free night stay and credit from previous years cannot be added this year


收到這個回覆後，你只需在 Marriott Insiders 回覆說明「確認符合上述三個條件，且沒有收到 credit」即可。客服之後會再回覆：

Hi there,

Thank you for your reply, we are in the process of filling this request for you. If all is in order, you should see it updated in the next few business days. If for any reason we need updated information, we will be in touch.
Please keep in mind this is an Elite night which counts toward your Elite status, not a free night.  You will see it updated under the Nights Earned section in your account activity.  There is a details link that you can click on, this will give you your 2019, night breakdown, the Elite night is counted under “promotional.”


筆者大概在 2 個工作日後就看到補登的房晚，祝各位讀者也順利補登。

注意，每年只能補登當年遺漏的生日定級房晚。

其他

有些酒店集團或者航空公司會發電郵表示沒有忘記你的生日，祝你生日快樂。如果你臉皮夠厚，不論是酒店、航空公司還是銀行，其實在生日的時候都可以打電話，客服有一定權限給你 Good Will Points, YMMV。平日可能不太好意思開口，但生日當天通常比較容易。有時候在查詢問題時，客服本身就需要先 Verify your date of birth，所以一下子就能切入主題。
