IHG 與萬豪在會員生日的時候，都會給帳戶推送禮物。IHG 的活動大概自 2016 年開始，每年生日後會贈送 1000 點數，雖然 IHG 點數價值不高，但有總比沒有好。萬豪則是贈送一個定級住宿晚數（不是房券，方便你用來衝級、保級），雖然不大，但也是順手的事。筆者在今年 11 月底的時候，也都順利拿到這兩間飯店的禮物；如果你不留意，系統不會主動發給你（或因為系統問題而漏發給你，例如萬豪）。

考慮到會有不少讀者需要這些資訊，因此將原本發在 101 快訊 的文章彙整到這裠。下面簡單總結下如何取得、補登。

大前提

不管是 IHG 還是萬豪，要獲得帳戶生日禮物，你必須先將生日資訊綁定到帳戶裡。綁定後若在生日當天入住飯店，也可能有額外驚喜。

  • IHG 新增步驟：前往 IHG 官網 → 找到個人資料（Personal Information）→ ADD Birthdate
  • 萬豪新增步驟：前往萬豪官網 → Profile → Personal Info → Date of birth 新增資訊即可

注意：生日資訊新增後，如要改動，都需要聯繫客服。

IHG 帳戶生日禮物

IHG 的帳戶生日禮物是 1000 IHG 點數，自 2016 年起至今。最開始 IHG 會發郵件提醒你，避免你忘記。後來 IHG 不再發郵件，而改推送 Message 到你的 IHG app 或網頁上。並且你需要註冊才可拿到點數。筆者 11 月底生日，剛好在生日後一天在 app 內收到通知。路徑如下，一步步點擊即可：

接下來按要求點擊，註冊一下活動即可

  • 註冊連結（如果你還沒過生日或沒有綁定生日，你不會被導向）

註冊後會收到郵件通知，點數也是秒到帳的，My offer 裡面可以看到活動叫「Birthday Gift」：

  • 今年的活動似乎到 2020 年 3 月 31 日截止，以後應該還會續

，點數則會顯示為「Register For Offer」

如何補登

如果你在生日之前已經將生日資訊綁定到帳戶裡，自己忘記註冊，可以先試試上面的連結；如果不行，再試著聯繫客服。

注：可能因為太多人需要補登，萬豪官方應該已意識到系統問題，並在修復自動給住宿晚數的機制，但你還是可以試試以下方法。H/T：讀者 genius110

萬豪一直有個會員生日福利：在你生日的時候送你一個定級住宿晚數（birthday Elite night credit），用於保級、衝級的定級房數。萬豪聯名卡每年可以送 15 晚定級房數，加上生日這一晚，總共就有 16 晚，離 Platinum 的 35 晚還差 19 晚。如果再飯店開個會獲得 10 晚定級房數（已取消），你只需要每年再住 9 晚就可以保級。

萬豪在與 SPG 合併之前，這個福利都很穩定。基本上不會漏發，但自從與 SPG 合併後，這個定級住宿晚數大面積漏發。筆者去年都能正常收到，今年 11 月底再次生日的時候就發現沒有寄送。

如何補登

補登的方法主要有兩種：

  • 直接聯繫客服（電話、郵件或推特）
  • 註冊 Marriott insides 論壇，發起申請

前一個方法被證明效率低下，客服經常也不能第一時間幫你解決，還需要開 case 調查，唯一的好處是有可能先收到 1000 points 的 Good Will points，但後續大多數都補登不了。

Marriott insides 其實是萬豪會員的一個論壇，透過這裡發送補登申請就容易多了。

如果你的 SPG 帳戶還沒有與萬豪合併，且二者是同一個信箱，你只能註冊一次 insiders 帳戶，找到 CustomerSupport 發起申請

填寫基本資料後，隨便寫個內容，填好 request birthday Elite night credit 即可

通常第二天就可以收到回覆，客服的回覆比較萬用

Thank you for reaching out to us here at Insiders. In order for us to look into this on your behalf we need you to reply to this message from your Insiders inbox (not email) and confirm:

1. That your birthday was listed in your account before it occurred
2. That you have had a stay in the last year

Please keep in mind this is not a free night stay and credit from previous years cannot be added this year

Please keep in mind this is an Elite night which counts toward your Elite status, not a free night.  You will see it updated under the Nights Earned section in your account activity.  There is a details link that you can click on, this will give you your 2019, night breakdown, the Elite night is counted under “promotional.”

筆者大概 2 個工作日即可看到補登的住宿晚數，祝讀者朋友們也順利補登。

注意每年只能補登當年遺漏的生日定級住宿晚數。

其他

有些飯店集團或者航空公司會發郵件說沒有忘記你的生日，祝你生日快樂。如果你臉皮比較厚，不論對於飯店、航空公司還是銀行，其實你在生日的時候，可以打電話，客服有一定權限給你 Good Will Points, YMMV。平日裡不太好意思開口，生日當天比較容易。有時候在諮詢問題的時候，客服需要先 Verify your date of birth，所以一下子就切入主題了。
