【2020.7 更新】用戶因為帳戶被鎖，向 DOT 投訴了 AA。AA 針對這一事件向 DOT 作出了回覆，還挺有意思的。總之，很多事情 AA 其實都知道，就看他想不想管而已。

  • AA 知道申請者可以繞過銀行的驗證申請到信用卡
  • AA 知道申請者利用多個地址、多個名字獲取 offer 來申請
  • AA 知道申請者用了別人的 offer 來申請
  • AA 會綜合大家的地址、姓名、電話、billing、機票資料等資訊，判斷 AA 帳戶的關聯性，並鎖定帳戶
  • AA 經常關注 Reddit、flyertalk，應該也包括各大網誌，查看大家的各種奇技淫巧
  • AA 知道有的人會利用客服不熟練的特點，不斷打電話、掛電話、再打，試圖獲得 AA 里數 refund 或者解鎖

【2020.3 更新】雖然這件事的熱度已經下去了，但確實還是有人陸陸續續被關帳戶。分享幾個最近的 DP，以及我看到的一系列關帳戶後處理得不錯的文章：

  • DP1：又有一個朋友超過 300,000 里數被關，一年內 churn 了 4 張。timeline 是 12 月就發現帳戶被鎖，出票一直 pending，然後到二月底正式收到電郵被關帳戶。
  • DP2：三年前 churn 了 4 張卡，已經被 Citi 殺全家。AA 帳戶沒被鎖也沒被關，里數約 40,000。
  • DP3: churn 了不知道多少張，估計有十幾二十張，基本都是踩着能過的線申請的，一個月一張。帳戶從 12 月起一直被鎖，內有 1,000,000 里數。至今沒動靜。
  • DP4 (M2M)：自己和 LD 收到關戶電郵，相差 10 分鐘。不過兩個人確實都 churn 了
  • 網友 DP：有 AA Platinum 等 elite 帳戶的也未能倖免，照樣被關。

總之 AA 是發狠了。不負責任地估計，AA 會先從帳戶中里數多的開始鎖，然後再從剩餘里數多的開始審核。畢竟先確保這些里數不要被用出去，AA 的損失就越小。

另外，最近看到一系列 M2M 及其 LD 被關後的處理文章，感覺角度很新穎，分享給大家：

如果你帳戶中的里數比較多，也建議透過 DOT 以及 CFPB 去抗議。另外，我覺得如果人數多了，應該會有一些躍躍欲試的律師出來。到時候大家可別錯過，就像 Citi 當時關卡那樣，可以找律師狠狠爭取一次。運氣好如果和解的話，會有不錯的補償。

【2020.2 更新】這幾天有聽說幾個被關和沒被關的 DP，分享給大家。

  • churn 了五張被關：1 月 24 日被關，但 1 月 12 日出的票一直沒被 cancel，正常飛了。帳戶中還有 3.5 萬分。ld 只 churn 了兩張，還沒被鎖，趕緊出了四張票，都正常。
  • 300,000+ AA 積分帳戶被關：只 churn 了兩張卡
  • 之前 kuku 的被關後 DP：打電話給 AA，想要申訴。AA 客服直接說系統裡查不到這個號碼。

我個人感覺 AA 這次是真的下狠手了。建議大家也採取激進一點的措施應對，如果帳戶已經被鎖，就聽天由命；如果帳戶沒被鎖，儘量盡快出票（或者找票販子賣掉積分），早點跑路，減少損失。當然，如果你一直都是正常申卡、正常使用，那就沒什麼問題。

  • 如果你帳戶出的票被取消，雖然里數沒了，但出票的稅費，AA 表示你可以要回來，別忘記：

我們原以為 AA 的「殺全家」行動已經結束。沒想到，大年初一，我們的作者——「殺全家」常旅客 KUKU 被 AA 關掉帳戶了。現在看來，AA 仍然在逐個審核並清理 Chrun AA 信用卡的帳戶，只是逐個人工審核，進度比較慢，並且似乎優先處理出票的人。

  • 背景：合法持有第一張 Citi AA 卡後，陸續 Churn 了 5 張信用卡，但從未使用過 AA 里數。

今天收到 AA 的電郵，帳戶被關（已無法登入），積分沒收。

  • 電郵在 Spam 裡。。
  • 電郵標題：AAdvantage Account Suspension
  • 發信電郵：<[email protected]>
  • 正文內容如下：
Dear KUKU

A recent investigation has determined your involvement in multiple violations of the General AAdvantage Program Conditions. These violations are related to the accrual of ineligible miles and benefits; through fraud, misrepresentation and/or abuse of the AAdvantage Program. Additionally, any award tickets obtained through an “Exploitive Practice” are in violation  of the AA Conditions of Carriage and are not valid for travel. Per the AAdvantage program governing terms:

  • Fraud, misrepresentation, abuse or violation of applicable rules (including, but not limited to, American or American Eagle® conditions of carriage, tariffs and AAdvantage® program rules) is subject to administrative and/or legal action by appropriate governmental authorities and American Airlines. 帳戶被關閉後，Citi 網上銀行介面也會顯示 AA 帳戶 Balance 為 0，但是信用卡並不會被關，不知道之後再刷卡，返的里數會怎樣處理？

現在燒點用里數也不是，不燒也不是，帳戶內的積分就當作貢獻給 AA 好了，之後我也把 AA 殺全家就是了。從郵件可以看出，如果你之前出票時有支付稅費，可以申請 refund。KUKU 覺得，有些 bug 方法還是少用為妙，總會有秋後算帳的時候，例如某黑車？

  • 擼卡還是要細水長流，畢竟銀行、酒店、航空公司都不是慈善家。

【2019.12 更新 3】這次 AA 關帳戶和審核帳戶的範圍真的不小，看來是下狠手了。身邊的朋友和網友也陸續爆出各種被關的 DP。人心惶惶的同時，大家都在想辦法看看自己到底有沒有被鎖帳戶。給大家分享一下最新消息吧。

  • DP 1：今年 Churn 了兩張，總共 churn 過三張。帳戶中有一張里數票直接被取消，收到了關帳戶的 Email 郵件（見下面），帳戶被關。未曾買賣過里數。
  • DP 2：今年 Churn 了三張，帳戶中有多張 AA Discount award ticket，收到郵件後所有里數票被取消。收到關帳戶郵件，帳戶被關。
  • DP 3：今年 Churn >10 張，帳戶中有 1,000,000 里數，帳戶被鎖定，暫時未收到關帳戶郵件。今年燒了不少里數，目前無法使用里數。

從網上 DP 可以看出，AA 不是一次過關掉所有帳戶，應該是先鎖定，再由人工 review，最後決定是解封還是直接關帳戶。最大原因就是 Churn Citi AA 卡。現在帳戶有以下幾種狀態：

  • 被關：會取消里數票、沒收全部里數、收到郵件、無法登入
  • 被鎖定：里數票暫時沒有影響，看不出有任何異常。訂里數票會一直 pending，無法用里數訂酒店，打電話給 AA 訂票會自動轉駁客戶服務。
  • 沒影響：暫時未被這一波調查波及

另外，大家比較關心的是如何知道自己的帳戶有沒有被鎖。這裏不建議訂里數票來查詢，一來訂完之後可能一直 pending，過了 24 小時就無法免費取消；二來，使用大量里數、有跑路跡象，可能更容易引起 AA 注意。目前的方法有：

  • 登入帳戶：能登入就是帳戶未被刪，登不進去就是拜拜了
  • 打電話訂票：800-882-8880，一般語音輸入 AA 帳戶後，機器客服會繼續讓你說出發地和目的地、時間等等。如果直接被轉到人工客服，說明 AA 帳戶很有可能被鎖定。
  • 透過 AA Hotel 訂酒店：https://bookaahotels.com/，選擇一間越南最便宜的酒店，只需要 1000 里數。訂購過程登入 AA 會員號，支付里數。如果能夠支付，說明未被鎖，不然就是被鎖定了。注意，訂成功後里數不退，按照 1.5c 計算，也就是花 $15。。。

【2019.12 更新 2】詳細給大家解讀一下 AA 關帳戶郵件，具體如下：

睇嚟 AA 今次係真係出重手，喺 Citi 採取行動之前就先關帳戶。不過亦都係，Citi 最多都只可以關卡，里數喺 AA 帳戶入面，佢亦冇辦法沒收，只能由 AA 出手。呢幾年各種 churn Citi AA+賣分，應該令 AA 損失唔少。如果你 churn 得唔算太誇張，而積分仲喺度，強烈建議唔好賣分，賣分好可能會觸發相關 review。如果可以，暫時先唔好郁呢啲積分，等風頭過一陣再用。如果真係要出票，建議出近期嘅，趕喺人工審核之前飛。。。

【2019.12 更新】根據 DOC 同 Reddit 消息，今日又有一批帳戶被鎖定，被鎖嘅人要打去某個部門嘅電話，就算已經訂咗里數票都唔會出票。個人覺得今次關帳戶同 Churn AA 信用卡有關，但呢個只係間接原因，畢竟呢啲積分都係 Citi 向 AA 買返嚟嘅，要捉都應該係 Citi 先捉。主要原因係，某啲攞到大量 AA 積分嘅人，會出售里數票、幫其他人出票，或者直接將成個帳戶賣畀票販子。呢一點係 AA 必須要打擊或者審核嘅。

我哋應該點做？如果你手上有大量積分，最好喺呢個風頭火勢之下先唔好賣，特別係帳戶入面已經有未飛嘅里數票。如果你開咗好多小號去申請 AA 信用卡，而每個號都有 AA 積分，想辦法改成唔同地址，或者可能有少少幫助。

今次鎖帳戶事件

最近有唔少 Reddit 同 flyertalk 用戶反映，自己嘅 AA 帳戶被鎖，無法登入。懷疑係因為連續申請 AA 信用卡，或者出售自己收到嘅 Mail in offer 所致。

根據 AA 內部消息，今次鎖帳戶的確同 AA 嘅 bug 申請方法有關。

我哋應該點做

  • 檢查一下自己嘅帳戶有冇被鎖
  • 暫時唔好再用 mail in offer churn AA 卡，亦唔好出售寄去你自己地址，或者寄到你 AA 帳戶名下收到嘅 mail in offer
  • 暫時唔好出售 AA 里數，尤其係將帳戶交畀其他人出票

唉，睇嚟呢個 bug 差唔多要玩完了。

背景

同大家科普一下呢個已經存在咗好幾年嘅申請方法。

Citi AA 信用卡嘅申請限制

而家所有 AA 申請連結都顯示 48 個月限制，具體嚟講，如果你喺過去 48 個月內曾經攞過 AA Platinum 卡嘅開卡獎賞，今次再申請就無法獲得開卡獎賞。（之前則係限制 24 個月內有開卡或關卡同系列卡，先至無法獲得開卡獎賞。）我個人覺得呢個新改動都算幾人性化，咁一來同類型嘅 AA 卡都可以逐張申請。之前 24 個月開關卡其實幾麻煩，因為一關卡就會 reset 24 個月；唔關卡又要繼續交年費。改動之後，就可以放心將原本嘅 AA Platinum 轉卡去 Double Cash 或者 rewards+卡。申請連結如下：

破解方法

前幾年就有人發現，如果收到 AA 嘅定向郵件優惠（包括 email offer），而信入面附有申請用嘅 invitation code，就可以喺指定網站輸入 code，從而進入冇 48 個月限制嘅申請連結。經過實測，的確可以正常申請成功，並攞到開卡獎賞。

於是，好多人就開始 65 天兩張 AA（Citi 每 65 天只可以申請 2 張個人卡，不論批唔批）。就係咁，不斷利用呢個 bug 申請方法，刷咗幾百萬 AA 里數。有人發現，呢個 code 可以畀其他人使用，而且甚至可以重複使用好多次，所以大家就喺小圈子入面共享呢個 code。後來 Citi 應該係發現咗呢個 bug，於是每個 code 無論批唔批，都只可以用一次。Code 一旦被本人使用，AA 就不會再發送 code 了。但是你還是可以用別人名字的 mail in offer，申請時把名字和 AA 號碼改成自己的就行，而且只要不是本人使用，AA 還會繼續發送 code。這也就催生了很多買賣 code 的人。有需要的人就買別人的 code，然後申請 AA 卡。而有的人就各種研究，怎樣才能收到這個 mail in offer 或者 email offer。

說來這也是 AA 自己審核機制的弊端，通過 code 開卡，下卡真的很鬆。除了後續額度會低一點，基本上很少有不過的 DP，就算真的不過，打個電話，也過了。要是卡得好，2/65 基本可以做到一個月下一張，導致大家持有越來越多的信用卡，一般的讀者沒有七八張也有四五張。

買賣 AA 里數

這麼輕鬆賺取的 AA 里數，自己可以飛掉，但也有不少人通過票販子，把里數賣出去。販賣里數當然是違反 AA 條款的，之前就有著名的 Linda，用各種方式放餌來抓票販子。抓到票販子或者賣里數的人之後，就會鎖帳戶或者沒收買賣的里數。甚至還弄出了舉報機制，如果舉報票販子，就可以減輕處罰。後來甚至有 AA 員工直接在 mitbbs 上冒充票販子來放餌，反正一時間人心惶惶。
