【2020.7 更新】有用戶因為帳戶被鎖，向 DOT 投訴了 AA。AA 也針對這件事向 DOT 做出了回覆，還蠻有意思的。總之，很多事情 AA 其實都知道，就看它想不想管而已。

  • AA 知道申請者可以繞過銀行的驗證申請信用卡
  • AA 知道申請者利用多個地址、不同名字取得 offer 來申請
  • AA 知道申請者用了別人的 offer 來申請
  • AA 會綜合大家的地址、姓名、電話、billing、機票資訊等資料，判斷 AA 帳戶之間的關聯性，進而鎖定帳戶
  • AA 經常關注 Reddit、FlyerTalk，應該也包括各大部落格，查看大家的各種奇技淫巧
  • AA 知道有些人會利用客服不熟悉流程這一點，不斷打電話、掛電話、再打，試圖拿回 AA 里程 refund 或解鎖

【2020.3 更新】雖然這件事的熱度已經下去了，但確實還是有人陸陸續續被關帳戶。分享幾個最近的 DP，以及我看到的一系列關帳戶後續處理的好文章：

  • DP1：又有一位朋友超過 300,000 里程被關，一年內 churn 了 4 張。timeline 是 12 月就發現帳戶被鎖，出票一直 pending，然後到 2 月底正式收到郵件被關帳戶。
  • DP2：三年前 churn 了 4 張卡，已經被 Citi 殺全家。AA 帳戶沒被鎖也沒被關，里程約 40,000。
  • DP3: churn 了不知道多少張，估計有十幾二十張，基本上都是踩著能過的線申請，一個月一張。帳戶從 12 月起一直被鎖，裡面有 1,000,000 里程。至今沒動靜。
  • DP4 (M2M)：自己和 LD 都收到關戶郵件，相差 10 分鐘。不過兩個人確實都有 churn
  • 網友 DP：有 AA Platinum 等 elite 帳戶的也未能倖免，一樣被關。

總之 AA 是下狠手了。不負責任地預測一下，AA 會先從帳戶裡里程多的開始鎖，然後再從剩餘里程多的開始審核。畢竟只要能先確保這些里程不被用掉，AA 的損失就越小。

另外，最近看到一系列 M2M 及其 LD 被關後的處理文章，感覺角度很新穎，也分享給大家：

如果你帳戶中的里程比較多，也建議透過 DOT 和 CFPB 去抗議。另外，我覺得如果人數夠多，應該會有一些躍躍欲試的律師出來。到時候大家可別錯過了，就像 Citi 當時關卡一樣，也許可以找律師狠狠干一票。運氣好如果和解，可能會有不錯的補償。

【2020.2 更新】這幾天聽說了幾個被關和沒被關的 DP，分享給大家。

  • churn 了五張被關：1 月 24 日被關，但 1 月 12 日出的票一直沒被 cancel，正常飛了。帳戶中還有 3.5 萬分。ld 只 churn 了兩張，還沒被鎖，趕緊出了四張票，也都正常。
  • 300,000+ AA 積分帳戶被關：只 churn 了兩張卡
  • 之前 kuku 被關後的 DP：打電話給 AA 想申訴，AA 客服直接說系統裡查不到這個號碼。

我個人感覺 AA 這次是真的下狠手了。建議大家也採取比較激進的措施應對：如果帳戶已經被鎖，那就聽天由命；如果帳戶還沒被鎖，盡量趕快出票（或者找票販子賣掉積分），早點跑路、減少損失。當然，如果你都是正常申卡、正常使用，那就沒什麼問題。

  • 如果你帳戶出的票被取消，雖然里程沒了，但出票時支付的稅費，AA 表示你可以要回來，別忘了：

我們原本以為 AA 的「殺全家」行動已經結束。沒想到，大年初一，我們的作者——「殺全家」常旅客 KUKU 也被 AA 關掉帳戶了。現在看來，AA 仍然在逐一審核並清理 Chrun AA 信用卡的帳戶，只是改為人工逐個審核，進度比較慢，而且似乎優先處理已出票的人。

  • 背景：合法持有第一張 Citi AA 卡後，陸續 Churn 了 5 張信用卡，但從未使用過 AA 里程。

今天收到 AA 的郵件，帳戶被關（已無法登入），積分被沒收。

  • 郵件在 Spam 裡。。
  • 郵件標題：AAdvantage Account Suspension
  • 寄件信箱：<[email protected]>
  • 正文如下：
Dear KUKU

A recent investigation has determined your involvement in multiple violations of the General AAdvantage Program Conditions. These violations are related to the accrual of ineligible miles and benefits; through fraud, misrepresentation and/or abuse of the AAdvantage Program. Additionally, any award tickets obtained through an “Exploitive Practice” are in violation  of the AA Conditions of Carriage and are not valid for travel. Per the AAdvantage program governing terms:

  • Fraud, misrepresentation, abuse or violation of applicable rules (including, but not limited to, American or American Eagle® conditions of carriage, tariffs and AAdvantage® program rules) is subject to administrative and/or legal action by appropriate governmental authorities and American Airlines. Such action may include, without limitation, the forfeiture of all award tickets and any accrued mileage in a member's account, as well as termination of the account and the member's future participation in the AAdvantage® program. 帳戶被關閉後，Citi 網路銀行介面也會顯示 AA 帳戶 Balance 為 0，但是信用卡並不會被關，不知道後續刷卡回饋的哩程會怎麼辦？

現在把哩程燒掉也不是，不燒也不是，帳戶裡的積分就當作貢獻給 AA 好了，之後我便把 AA 也殺全家就是了。從郵件可以看出，如果你之前出票有支付稅費，可以申請 refund。KUKU 覺得，有些 bug 方法還是少用為妙，總會有秋後算帳的時候，比如某黑車？

  • 擼卡還是要細水長流，畢竟銀行、飯店、航空公司都不是慈善家。

【2019.12 更新 3】這次 AA 關帳戶和審核帳戶的範圍真的不小，看來是下狠手了。身邊的朋友和網友也陸續開始爆出各種被關的 DP。人心惶惶的同時，大家都在想辦法看看自己到底有沒有被鎖帳戶。給大家分享一下最新的消息吧。

  • DP 1：今年 Churn 了兩張，總共 churn 過三張。帳戶中有一張哩程票直接被取消，收到了關帳戶的 Email 郵件（見下面），帳戶被關。未曾買賣過哩程。
  • DP 2：今年 Churn 了三張，帳戶中有多張 AA Discount award ticket，收到郵件後所有哩程票被取消。收到關帳戶郵件，帳戶被關。
  • DP 3：今年 Churn>10 張，帳戶中有 1,000,000 哩程，帳戶被鎖定，暫時沒收到關帳戶郵件。今年燒了不少哩程，目前無法使用哩程。

從網上 DP 可以看出，AA 不是一次性關掉所有帳戶，應該是先鎖定，然後人工 review，最後決定是解封還是直接關帳戶。最大原因就是 Churn Citi AA 卡。現在帳戶有以下幾種狀態：

  • 被關：會取消哩程票、沒收全部哩程、收到郵件、無法登入
  • 被鎖定：哩程票暫時沒影響，看不出有任何異常。訂哩程票會一直 pending，無法用哩程訂飯店，打電話給 AA 訂票會自動轉客服。
  • 沒影響：暫時沒被這一波調查

另外，大家比較關心的是如何知道自己的帳戶有沒有被鎖。這裡不建議訂哩程票來查詢，一來訂完可能一直 pending，過了 24 小時就無法免費取消；二來，使用大量哩程、有跑路跡象，可能更加引起 AA 注意。目前的方法有：

  • 登入帳戶：登得進去就是帳戶沒被刪，登不進去就是拜拜了
  • 打電話訂票：800-882-8880，一般語音輸入 AA 帳戶後，機器客服會繼續讓你說出發地和目的地、時間等等。如果直接被轉到人工客服，說明 AA 帳戶很有可能被鎖定。
  • 透過 AA Hotel 訂飯店：https://bookaahotels.com/，選擇一間越南最便宜的飯店，只需要 1000 哩程。訂購過程登入 AA 會員號，支付哩程。如果能夠支付，說明沒被鎖，不然就是被鎖定了。注意，訂成功後哩程不退，按照 1.5c 計算，也就是花 $15。。。

【2019.12 更新 2】詳細給大家解讀一下 AA 關帳戶郵件，具體如下：

看來 AA 這次是下重手了，在 Citi 出手之前先關帳戶。不過也確實， Citi 頂多只能關卡，哩程在 AA 帳戶裡，也沒辦法沒收，只能由 AA 出面。這幾年各種 churn Citi AA+賣分，應該讓 AA 損失不小。如果你 Churn 得不算太兇，點數還在的話，強烈建議先不要賣分，賣分很可能會觸發相關的 review。如果可以的話，先暫時不要動這些點數，等風頭過一陣子再用。如果真的要出票，建議出近期的，搶在人工審核之前飛掉……

【2019.12 更新】根據 DOC 和 Reddit 的消息，今天又有一波帳戶被鎖定，被鎖的人被要求撥打某個部門的電話，就算已經訂了哩程票也不會出票。個人覺得這次關帳戶和 Churn AA 信用卡有關，但這只是間接原因，畢竟這些點數都是 Citi 向 AA 買來的，要抓也應該是 Citi 先抓。主要原因是，有些拿到大量 AA 點數的人，會出售哩程票、幫別人出票，甚至直接把整個帳戶賣給票販子。這一點是 AA 一定得抓，或者至少要審核的。

我們該怎麼做？如果你手上有大量點數，最好先不要在這個風頭上賣，尤其是帳戶裡已經有還沒飛的哩程票。而如果你開了很多小號來申請 AA 信用卡，每個帳戶裡都有 AA 點數的話，想辦法改成不同的地址，說不定會有點幫助。

這次鎖帳戶

最近有不少 Reddit 和 flyertalk 使用者反映，自己的 AA 帳戶被鎖住，無法登入。懷疑是因為連續申請 AA 信用卡，或是因為販售自己收到的 Mail in offer 所導致。

根據 AA 的內線消息，這次鎖帳戶確實和 AA 的 bug 申請方法有關

我們該怎麼辦

  • 先看看自己的帳戶有沒有被鎖
  • 暫時先別用 mail in offer churn AA 卡，也不要出售寄到你地址、或是寄到你 AA 帳戶名下的 mail in offer
  • 暫時先不要販售 AA 哩程，尤其不要把帳戶拿給別人出票

唉，看來這個 bug 差不多要走到盡頭了。

背景

來科普一下這個已經存在好幾年的申請方法。

Citi AA 信用卡的申請限制

現在所有的 AA 申請連結都顯示 48 個月字樣，意思是如果你在過去 48 個月內曾拿過 AA Platinum 卡的開卡獎勵，那這次申請就無法再拿到開卡獎勵。（而之前是限制 24 個月內開關同系列的卡，才無法獲得開卡獎勵。）我個人覺得這次的新改動還算人性化，這樣一來同類型的 AA 卡都可以各申一次。之前 24 個月開關卡其實挺麻煩的，因為關卡會 reset 24 個月，不關又得繳年費。現在改動之後，可以放心把原本的 AA Platinum 轉卡成 Double Cash 或 rewards+卡了。申請連結如下：

破解方法

前幾年就有人發現，如果收到 AA 的定向郵件優惠（包括 email offer），只要信中有申請用的 invitation code，就可以在指定網站輸入 code，進入沒有 48 個月限制的申請連結。經過實測，確實可以正常申請通過，並拿到開卡獎勵。

於是很多人就開始 65 天兩張 AA（Citi 每 65 天只能申請 2 張個人卡，不管有沒有過）。就這樣，大家不斷利用這個 bug 申請方法，刷了好幾百萬 AA 哩程。有人發現，這個 code 可以給別人使用，而且這些 code 甚至可以重複使用很多次，所以大家就在小圈子裡互相分享這個 code。後來 Citi 應該是抓到這個 bug 了，變成每個 code 不管有沒有過都只能使用一次。

Code 一旦被本人使用，AA 就不會再發送 code 了。但是你還是可以用別人名字的 mail in offer，申請時把名字和 AA 號碼改成自己的就行，而且如果不是本人使用，AA 還會繼續發送 code。這也就催生了好多買賣 code 的人。有需要的人就買別人的 code，然後申請 AA 卡。而有的人就各種研究，怎麼樣才能收到這個 mail in offer 或者 email offer。

說來這也是 AA 自己審核機制的弊端，通過 code 開卡，下卡真的很鬆。除了後續額度會低一點，基本上很少有不過的 DP，就算真的不過，打個電話，也過了。卡得好的話，2/65 基本可以一個月下一張，導致大家持有越來越多的信用卡，一般的讀者沒有七八張，也有四五張。

買賣 AA 哩程

這麼輕鬆賺取的 AA 哩程，自己可以飛掉，但也有不少人通過票販子，把哩程賣出去。販賣哩程當然是違反 AA 條款的，之前就有著名的 Linda，用各種釣魚方式來抓票販子。抓到票販子或者賣哩程的人後，就鎖帳戶或者沒收買賣的哩程。甚至還弄出了舉報機制，如果舉報票販子，就可以減輕處罰。後來甚至有 AA 員工直接在 mitbbs 上冒充票販子來釣魚，反正一時間人心惶惶。
