根據 Bloomberg 消息，eBay 將從 2024 年 8 月起停止接受 AMEX 付款。主要原因還是認為 AMEX 的手續費太高。這裡所說的無法付款，應該是指直接在 eBay 上使用 AMEX 卡付款；如果是透過 PayPal 綁定的 AMEX 卡，推測仍可正常在 eBay 上付款。
EBay on Wednesday notified customers about the change, which is set to take effect Aug. 17.“After careful consideration, eBay has decided to no longer accept American Express globally effective August 17 due to the unacceptably high fees American Express charges for processing credit card transactions,” the company said in a statement.
