Hertz 在官網發布了消息，已經在美國和加拿大申請了破產保護。Hertz 也拿出了 $1 Billion，來維持公司繼續營運。確實租車公司手頭一大堆的「固定」資產，如果不租出去，哪有錢還銀行的貸款呢……不過沒想到小公司還沒破產，Hertz 先撐不住了，估計在疫情之前就過度擴張了吧。好在目前已經產生的訂單、各種優惠、積分系統還將繼續

不過據說積分只能訂車，無法轉為其他哩程了。
據稱除了美國和加拿大，包括中國國內的赫茲（與神州租車合作）及其他地區的 Hertz 並未受到影響。
