    Amazon Prime Day Overview

    Every year, Amazon sets aside one or two days as Prime Day. During this period, and in the week leading up to it, Amazon offers a series of deals to its Prime members. This year's Amazon Prime Day lasts four days: July 8-11. If you have something you want to buy on Amazon, check early for any deals you need. I’ll also keep posting good money-saving deals in time.

    Based on previous years, electronics—especially Apple products—tend to have more discounts, and Amazon Devices also have bigger deals. Before and after Prime Day, there are also plenty of third-party gift card discounts, as well as some discount offers on Amazon gift card top-ups, all of which are worth checking.

    Prime Day-related offers are only open to Amazon Prime members. Annual Prime membership is $139/year, and you can also buy it monthly for $14.99/month (monthly members can also participate directly in Prime Day). If you don't have a membership now, consider one of these ways to get it:

    Early Prime Day Deal

    Amazon has already rolled out Early Prime Day. If you’re interested, you can take a look.

    Card rewards sitewide discount (already started)

    Usually this means using card rewards to pay part of the purchase, which can unlock discounts ranging from 10% off to 80% off. This promo usually explodes around Prime Day, with new offers from Chase, Citi, AMEX, and Discover. You can activate it by buying third-party gift cards too. Check the link below now to see the current deal.

    Discover has launched another wave: 30% off or $10 off $75. Check the links below right away—deadline is July 25. If it opens to a blank page, it means you’re not eligible for targeting.

    AMEX Membership Rewards has dropped another wave and looks fully refreshed, so offers from the last round can be used again. There are 30%-50% off, and the best is $80 off. Activate it below—mine is 40% off. The new expiration is July 31, 2025. Another AMEX Reward Dollars offer is also live. For AMEX cashback cards, using $0.01 in rewards can activate 10%/30%/40% off. Cards like Blue Cash Everyday/Preferred, cash magnet, business cards, and so on should all count. Expires July 31, 2025.

    • After deleting, absolutely do not click any offer-activation links. Wait about 3 days before adding cards back.

    • After finishing, absolutely do not click any offer-activation links again, and wait about 3 days.
