This offer runs on October 11-12. Prime members who purchase $50 in Amazon gift cards or certain third-party gift cards can receive a $10 promo credit to use later. Since third-party gift cards can generally be paid for with Amazon gift cards, it probably makes the most sense to just buy Amazon gift cards directly.

Up to 15% Back with Amazon Credit Cards

Using an Amazon credit card on eligible deals can earn up to 15% back. However, judging from the link, it looks like some offers may go as high as 25% back.

U.S. Prime members can score 20% off (up to $10) on Grubhub orders using code Prime20. This 48-hour deal is available for orders over $15 and can only be used once. Prime members must be signed up for the existing free, one-year Grubhub+ membership trial.

There are new offers again for AMEX, Discover, Citi, and Chase cards. By using just 1 point, you may be able to get up to 60% off (some accounts may only get 10% off). The offer expires on December 26, so it’s best to activate it first. It has also refreshed to as much as 40% off, up to $40, so go check your account.

Also, based on suggestions from readers, if you do not see this offer, you can try the following method:

  • Delete all saved AMEX/Discover credit cards from your Amazon account.
  • After deleting them, do not click any activation link. Wait about 3 days before adding the card back.
  • Add an AMEX card that earns Membership Rewards or a Discover card.
  • Go to the Shop With Points page and complete the card linking process.
  • After that, again do not click any activation links; wait about 3 more days.
  • Then revisit the offer links above.

Get Paid to Add a New Card

This offer has now changed to $10 OFF $10.01, but new accounts should still have a very good chance of getting it. If you’re interested, it may still be worth trying. The new expiration date is December 31, and the promo code is DISCOVER2022 or 2022DISCOVER.

Citi now also has a card-add offer, and new accounts will probably get it too. All three of my accounts that had removed Citi cards a long time ago received it, so you can also try removing your card and checking again. The offer ends on October 31.

About This Second Prime Day

Amazon has announced a Prime Day event on October 11 and 12, making this the second Prime Day event of the year. In prior years, the annual Prime Day was usually held in June. Perhaps Amazon liked the results in driving spending and decided to run it again this year. It’s worth paying attention to, since there are usually some good sitewide offers and gift card deals worth stocking up on.

Prime Day offers are only available to Amazon Prime members. A full Prime membership costs $139/year, or you can pay monthly at $14.99/month (monthly members can also participate in Prime Day). If you do not currently have a membership, you can consider the following options:
