Amazon sets aside 1-2 days each year for Prime Day. During that period, as well as the week leading up to it, Amazon offers a series of deals to its Prime members. This year's Amazon Prime Day is July 16-17. If you have things you want to buy on Amazon, check ahead of time to see whether there are deals you need. I'll also keep updating everyone on some good money-making and money-saving deals in a timely manner.

Based on past experience, electronics—especially Apple products—tend to see many discounts, and Amazon Devices are also heavily discounted. Around Prime Day, there are also plenty of third-party gift card discounts, as well as some reload discounts on Amazon's own gift cards, all of which are worth checking out.

Usually, you can use credit card points to pay part of the purchase and get discounts ranging from $10 off to $80 off. This promotion usually explodes around Prime Day, and Chase, Citi, AMEX, and Discover will all roll out new ones. Buying third-party gift cards can also trigger them.
