According to a report by consumer-rights website Top Class Actions, U.S. bank Capital One is facing a new class action lawsuit. The complaint alleges that the bank failed to pay out shopping rewards promised through its “Capital One Offers” program. The lawsuit states: “After cardholders rely on the offers and complete their purchases, Capital One often fails to provide the rewards it promised.”
At this stage, the case is only in the initial filing phase, and there is no public claims page for cardholders to join yet. Normally, preliminary class action cases like this do not get extensive coverage, but this one has drawn attention because it directly affects credit-card offer enthusiasts.
We’ve also covered their cashback site before. The rewards are often quite generous, but they don’t handle missing transactions very well.
