The welcome bonus on this new card has increased to an amazing 200,000 Ultimate Rewards points. For the bonus alone, this card is worth applying for! It also comes with various annual credits, including luxury hotel-related perks, and if you can use them, they can justify the annual fee. See our summary below for details. The spending requirement is relatively high, though: you need to spend $30,000 in six months. You could use it for things like prepaying taxes to help hit the spending requirement.

According to the terms, there do not appear to be any restrictions on earning the welcome bonus for this card. Other Sapphire cards are not mentioned. My guess is that as long as you are under 5/24, you should be eligible.

Offers may vary depending on where you apply, for example online or in a branch, and can change over time. To take advantage of this particular offer now, apply through the method provided in this advertisement. Review offer details before you apply.

This is a very strong offer, so I added it to our rankings.

In 2026, this card’s The Edit credit became easier to use, since it is no longer split between the first and second half of the year. You can now get two $250 credits each year, with a two-night minimum stay. In addition, in 2026, bookings at the hotels below can also receive an extra $250 statement credit. Eligible hotel brands include:

  • IHG® Hotels & Resorts
  • Montage Hotels & Resorts
  • Pendry Hotels & Resorts
  • Omni Hotels & Resorts
  • Virgin Hotels
  • Minor Hotels
  • Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts
  • Promotion details

In addition, some users also received an offer for $100 back after spending $600 through Chase Travel. If you can stack all three, that means spending $600 and getting back $250 + $250 + $100. Of course, you would need to find a qualifying The Edit property among the hotel brands listed above.

Benefits Analysis

This card comes with a long list of credits and benefits from Chase, so read the terms carefully and try to maximize all of them.

Credits

  • $300 travel credit: Get up to $300 back each year on all travel-related purchases, including airfare, hotels, cruises, rental cars, and more. This effectively reduces the annual fee by $300. It is now based on your cardmember year; see the travel credit terms.
  • $500 The Edit Credit, split into $250 every six months ( details ): requires a two-night minimum stay. Since these hotels are generally at least $200+ after tax per night, you will usually still have to pay some out of pocket.
  • $10 Lyft credit each month: useful for rideshare, and 5x points per $1 earned on Lyft through 9/30/27
  • DoorDash benefits: DoorDash membership benefit (worth $9.99/month) plus $25 in monthly credits, split into three promo codes of $10, $10, and $5. Valid through the end of 2027.
  • $120 Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit: a standard premium-card benefit that should reimburse the application fee.
  • $400 ZipRecruiter each year, split into $200 every six months
  • $200 Google Workspace each year
  • $100 Giftcards.com credit, split into $50 every six months: you must make the purchase through https://www.giftcards.com/reservebusiness to receive the credit

Perks

  • IHG Platinum Status: cardholders receive IHG Platinum status automatically, with benefits such as extra points on stays and possible room upgrades.
  • Priority Pass: includes lounge membership and allows you to bring in 2 guests. Note that you need to activate this benefit in the Benefits section before you receive your membership card. The Priority Pass that comes with this card now also has a digital version. Just register your PP card at this link, and then you can add it in the Priority Pass app on your phone. Many Priority Pass lounges now allow entry by scanning a code, which makes this much more convenient.
  • Maple Leaf Lounge: cardholders can now access Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounge for free. You only need a same-day boarding pass on Air Canada or another Star Alliance airline. However, this benefit is only for the cardholder and does not include complimentary guests. Official link
  • Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club: cardholders can also access Chase’s own premium lounges, Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club (New York, Boston, and Hong Kong). Overall, it is nice to see more benefits added without an annual fee increase. CSR benefits PDF.
  • The Edit hotel benefits: Chase’s premium hotel booking platform The Edit is now live. The benefits are broadly comparable to FHR, including breakfast for two, a $100 credit, room upgrades, early check-in, late checkout, and more. You should compare pricing through regular channels versus The Edit before booking, but if the prices are close, The Edit can be a very good option. About The Edit
  • Shopping portal (UR mall): Chase’s own shopping portal also offers bonus rewards at merchants including Walmart, Sears, Staples, Apple Store, and others, which is another great way to rack up points quickly.

The large-spend bonus requires $120,000 in spending within a calendar year before you can receive it:

  • $500 Southwest credit: can be used for flights
  • Southwest A-List status: Southwest elite status
  • IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite Status: the highlight is that Diamond now finally includes breakfast for two
  • $500 The Shops credit (better than the $250 on the consumer card)

Points Program

  • Point value: The average value is 1.6c/p, so 100 UR = $1.6 (Point Values and Analysis)
  • Direct redemption: Cash redemptions are worth 1c; travel redemptions are worth 1c (without a premium card). Premium hotel redemptions or business/first class flights can yield 1.75c (with Ink Preferred or Sapphire Preferred), and 2c with the Sapphire Reserve.
  • Point transfers: Transfer 1:1 to United miles (good for China–US economy, domestic US economy, and one-way tickets); transfer 1:1 to British Airways miles (good for China–Japan and short-distance domestic US redemptions); transfer 1:1 to Hyatt points (great for Hyatt hotel stays, with value up to 1.8 cents per point).
  • Point features: Ultimate Rewards points can be freely moved among your own cards. They can also be transferred to one designated spouse or partner. To transfer points to airline miles or hotel points, you need support from Ink Preferred, Sapphire Preferred, or Sapphire Reserve. You can also transfer to the mileage or points account of an authorized user.
  • My take: UR’s main airline transfer partners are United Airlines, British Airways, Aeroplan, and Air France. UA can book most Star Alliance award tickets, while BA covers some domestic US AA flights. On the hotel side, Hyatt is the best option and can often deliver about 1.6c in value per point, but Hyatt has a relatively small footprint in the US, so your choices may be limited. If you have the Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve, booking flights, hotels, and activities through Chase Travel can get you 1.25c/1.5c in value, which is one of the best high-value options for beginners. Cash/gift card redemptions are worth 1 cent.

My Take

It can make sense to apply for this card just for the welcome bonus. For long-term holding, if you can use the business-card-specific credits and bonus categories, then it may be worth keeping. Otherwise, the personal Sapphire Reserve is probably the better long-term card.

How to Apply

  • This card’s minimum approved credit line is between 7,500 and 10,000, so it may help to lower the credit limits on some of your other Chase cards before applying; this card also has certain income requirements.
  • It is best to apply with at least one year of credit history. Having a Chase business checking account may also help.
