Benefits Analysis
- 4 Priority Pass visits per year: It appears this card has again added 4 Priority Pass visits per year, which is quite good for a no-annual-fee card.
- PreCheck or Global Entry credit: Up to $100 in application fee reimbursement, once every four years.
- Cash back redemption: If you redeem cash back to charitable organizations, US Bank provides a 100% match; this was mentioned before. You can also use cash back to buy gift cards from select merchants at discounts of up to 5%.
My Take
Now that this card has become a no-annual-fee card, it can be worth keeping long term if you spend a lot on gas and EV charging. It also gives 4 PP visits each year, which is quite useful for people who do not travel that often. It even includes Global Entry fee reimbursement. After all, with no annual fee, any perk is a net gain.
That said, redeeming the points is a bit cumbersome. If you redeem directly for statement credit, 100 points = $0.8. If you have a US Bank checking account, then you can redeem at 1:1.
