Highlights

  • Annual bonus: Each year, you can earn an additional 25% bonus on the cash back you earned. The bonus is posted on the first statement of the following year. The maximum annual bonus is $250, which means up to $1,000 in cash back is eligible.
  • Unlimited 3% cash back categories

My Take

The predecessor of this card was the US Bank Business Edge, and now it has returned under a new name. The 3% categories plus the 25% annual bonus work out to an effective 3.75% cash back on gas, office supplies, and cell phone services, which is quite solid. It also has no annual fee, making it worth keeping long term.

Another hidden advantage is that US Bank does not report business credit cards to your personal credit bureaus. So for this card, only the HP from the application will appear; afterward, the new account will not show up on your personal credit report, and the spending will not be included either. That means it will not affect your 524 count, nor will a high balance hurt your personal credit score.
