【2026.1 Update】This card’s sign-up bonus has been increased to 100,000+, and adding an employee card can also earn another 10,000 bonus. The card has a $150 annual fee. If you fly UA often, you can offset it with a $125 Travel Bank credit, making it almost free to hold. And if you also hold a UA personal card, you can get 5,000 UA miles each year. Overall, it’s still a UA business card worth keeping long term.

- 【New】Extra 5,000 miles every year: If you also hold the personal version of the UA card, you can receive an additional 5,000 miles each cardmember year
- 【New】$125 UA Flight Credit: Get a $125 United flight credit after flying five times
- Two domestic U.S. upgrade certificates every year
- Transfer UR to UA: Since Chase UR points can be transferred to UA miles through the Chase CSP card, you can quickly build UR points with the quarterly 5x categories on the Chase Freedom card and the 2x travel category on Chase CSP. Then transfer everything into UA miles, and combine that with this UA card’s sign-up bonus to redeem award tickets for multiple people.
- UA flight-related perks: Priority boarding, first checked bag free on domestic U.S. flights, and two UA club passes per year (worth $100)
- 25% off UA in-flight purchases, including snacks, drinks, and Wi-Fi
- Award space in XN class: Cardholders can see award tickets that ordinary people cannot see (XN inventory), which is especially useful during peak travel seasons
- Rental car insurance included
- MPX can earn an extra 25% mileage bonus
New reimbursement benefits
- $25 farelock credits: UA’s own farelock service, which lets you hold a ticket and keep the price unchanged during that period
- $100 hotel credit: This is similar to AMEX’s FHR. These are mostly upscale hotels, and if you book through this program, you can enjoy free breakfast for two, hotel credit, and other perks. Details vary by hotel. Official introduction
- $100 rideshare credit: $8 per month from January through November, and $12 in December.
- $50 car rental credit: Up to $50 in United travel credits each year. You need to book through windowcars.united.com. For the first and second bookings each year, if you pay with this card, you can get $25 back.
- $100 JSX credit: Pay with this card and receive $100 in reimbursement each year
- $120 Instacart credit: One $10 credit each month, $120 total per year
Drawbacks
- Miles usage is decent but not exceptional. United miles require a lot of miles for first class and business class redemptions, and there are no island-hopping style tricks.
How to Use United Miles
United’s biggest advantage is its extensive international route network, which makes it more convenient to use. United is one of the founding members of Star Alliance, the largest airline alliance, with 25 member airlines. United also has many non-alliance partners, which makes MileagePlus one of the most versatile currencies when redeeming award tickets. To be clear, United miles can be used not only for award tickets on United-operated flights, but also for award tickets on Star Alliance partners and partner airlines, so the use cases are very broad. You can redeem domestic U.S. flights, flights from the U.S. to China, Europe, and the Americas, and even flights from China to Japan and Europe.
My Thoughts
This card is very similar to the personal version of United Explorer, except the 2x categories are different. The current 100,000-mile sign-up bonus is the highest ever. If you can apply for a business credit card, getting 100,000 miles in one shot is pretty good. After all, 70,000 miles is enough for a round-trip economy ticket between China and the U.S.
As for long-term holding value, if you don’t have the personal card and you have a need to check bags on United flights, one trip can already make up for the annual fee. Otherwise, it’s still recommended to pay the second year’s annual fee and close the card within a month.
Another benefit of applying for a business card is that there will be a hard pull when you apply, but after approval, Chase business cards do not show up on your personal credit report. In other words, they won’t increase the number of cards on your report, so they won’t affect 5/24. If you’re planning to apply for a bunch of cards, you can put the business card first.
About the old version of UA Biz
This card is actually a new card. According to the message reader Nadira received from customer service, the old UA Biz benefits will not be updated, and there is currently no upgrade path. The sign-up bonus for this card also does not conflict with the old card, which means holding the old card will not affect your ability to apply for this card or earn its sign-up bonus. Of course, 5/24 is still the biggest limitation. If you’re interested in this card, it’s still worth going for one.
Application:
- Application difficulty is average: With a good relationship with Chase, about one year of credit history, and some income, you should be able to get approved
- If this is your first time applying for a business credit card, please read “Introduction to Business Credit Cards” first.
- Since this is an airline co-branded card, it’s recommended that you register for UA frequent flyer membership in advance and enter the number on the application. Otherwise, a new one will be generated, which is a hassle
