• FIFTYOFF: 50% off sitewide, so you need to buy $70 worth of items. This is strongly recommended if you can get to $70, since compared with 30% off, you get $20 more food.

Schwan's online grocery is an online store that delivers more than 300 kinds of food to your home.

How to Get It

• Sign up for Swagbucks: Swagbucks sign-up link (500SB sign-up bonus; see details here: how to get the sign-up bonus)
• Search for Schwan's in the search bar and select the 4000SB offer

• The terms mention that mail order does not qualify for this offer. So after entering the Schwan's homepage, first check whether your area is eligible. If you scroll down a bit on the homepage, you will see a lookup box:

• Once you confirm that there is an option other than mail delivery, you can start registering.

• Create your account, and make sure the email matches the email on your Swagbucks account. Also remember to check the box for Schwan's rewards when creating the account. The site gives you 5% back on every order. If you do not want future promotional messages, you can uncheck the next two boxes.

• After registering, you can choose whatever food you want. I picked fruit and seafood. They also offer Asian food, although from the pictures it looks more like American-style Chinese food. Feel free to see what gives you the best value.

• Choose the food you want. Below is my cart and the final amount I actually paid. I thought it was a pretty good result. If you have a better combination, feel free to share.

• There are four steps at checkout. In step one, it may show a delivery charge of $10+, but don't worry. Just continue. By step two, when you enter the coupon code, the delivery fee shows as free. Then just finish checking out step by step. (The payment setup is very nice. I chose to be charged after the food was delivered. For the delivery time, I selected “None of these work; the merchant will contact me within 2 business days to confirm a delivery time.” I also left a note asking for weekend delivery.)

• After checkout is complete, refresh your Swagbucks account and you should see the 4000SB post immediately

How to Cancel

I looked carefully into how to cancel future orders, and the conclusion is as follows:

• Even if you do not place another order, the person who made your first delivery may stop by around the time of the next order (2 weeks later) and ask whether you want to order anything
• If you want to cancel the entire account, you need to call 888-724-9267
• You can also push your next delivery date back as far as possible. After clicking skip save, refresh the page until it can no longer be postponed

• My plan is to delay the next service date first, then call to cancel after 1-2 weeks

Things to Watch Out For

• After checkout, the merchant may ask whether you want automatic future deliveries. Do not click to enroll.

• The best-value redemption is 2200SB for a $25 Amazon, Walmart, or Target gift card
• You must click through from Swagbucks to Schwan's and then complete payment
• If Swagbucks does not track successfully, you can use the built-in contact function and provide your order number; the points should still post

Today I received my food from Schwans, and it seems pretty good. I bought king crab leg, BBQ Ribs, and Pork egg roll. Here are some photos:

• The frozen food I received does not look super fancy, but it seems like solid quality

• After some effort, today's lunch was finished

• The BBQ Ribs tasted pretty good. I baked four ribs and brushed on BBQ sauce a few times during cooking

• The Kig Crab Legs were made steamed with scallion oil and a little chili added

• The EGG Rolls tasted average, since they were really just there to fill out the order

• I spent a total of $41 and got back $40 in Swagbucks. This meal used about 1/3 of the total food, so it worked out to roughly 30 cents for one lunch. Haha! What did everyone else buy? Feel free to share photos in the comments.
