My Take

After Chase launched a co-branded credit card with Instacart, it quickly followed up with this card in partnership with DoorDash, which shows that Chase is quite optimistic about the food delivery business. The cash back structure on this card is fairly decent: besides 4% on DoorDash purchases, it also earns 3% at restaurants. It works reasonably well as a card dedicated to dining. The 2% at grocery stores is less compelling, though, since cards like Citi Double Cash already earn 2% on all purchases, so there’s not much reason to apply just for that.

One more thing to note: the included DashPass membership is free for the first year, but after that it automatically renews at $96 per year. If you don’t need it, remember to cancel in advance.
