On January 8, 2026, Capital One officially announced that it will build a new lounge on the mezzanine level of the Terminal A expansion at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), adding another location to its growing airport lounge network.
The lounge will span about 14,000 square feet, though no opening timeline has been announced yet. Based on the official design preview, the CLT lounge will continue Capital One’s regional-inspired approach, featuring locally influenced food and drinks, panoramic runway views, an all-day coffee bar, and dedicated workspaces, all designed to create a bright and welcoming retreat for travelers.
Capital One has continued expanding its airport lounge network in recent years, with newer locations recently added in Las Vegas (LAS) and New York Kennedy (JFK). For travelers, the easiest way to access these lounges is by carrying the Capital One Venture X Rewards credit card. This new lounge should bring a better pre-flight experience to busy CLT.
