Bilt Rent Day: Up to a 100% Bonus on Avios Transfers (May 1, 2026)

Bilt Rewards has announced its May 2026 Rent Day promotion. On May 1, 2026 (from 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time to 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time), members who transfer Bilt points to the Avios programs of British Airways, Iberia, and/or Aer Lingus will receive a transfer bonus based on their elite status.

The bonus tiers are as follows:

• Blue members: 40% bonus
• Silver members: 50% bonus
• Gold members: 60% bonus
• Platinum members: 75% bonus
• Platinum members + spending $150 in Bilt Cash: upgraded to a 100% bonus

The key restriction this time is that the transfer cap is 100,000 Bilt points, combined across the three Avios programs above.

Compared with Bilt’s more typical transfer bonus promos, there are a few notable differences this time:

• Adjusted bonus rates: Historically, the standard bonus tiers have been 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% for Blue through Platinum. For May, all tiers except Blue have changed: Silver is unchanged, while Gold (60%) and Platinum (75%) are lower than in prior promos. Blue members, however, benefit the most with a 40% bonus.
• A new transfer cap: This kind of hard cap has been relatively uncommon in past transfer bonus offers. For members who have built up large Bilt balances through high rent payments, credit card spending, or Rakuten partnerships, the 100,000-point cap limits how much they can transfer in one promotion. That could affect strategies that involve stockpiling points and moving them all at once during a strong bonus window.
• The cost to upgrade with Bilt Cash: Platinum members must spend $150 in Bilt Cash to raise the bonus from 75% to 100%. That is notably higher than the earlier $75 example mentioned in past promotions, and the value of that upgrade may vary depending on the transfer partner.

Overall, May’s Bilt Rent Day promo offers a solid opportunity for Avios transfers, especially for newer members at the Blue tier. But the new 100,000-point cap, the revised bonus structure, and the cost of upgrading mean members should carefully calculate the real value based on their points balance and status level. Those with large Bilt balances may want to consider spreading transfers across future promotions or looking at other transfer partners.

This is still a pretty good promo overall, and the Bilt card lineup has some solid rewards, so it’s worth keeping an eye on.
