Bilt October Rent Day: Up to 125% Bonus for Amtrak, Up to 200% Bonus for Hilton

On October 1, Bilt Rent Day will offer two sets of transfer bonuses.

Amtrak's standard transfer ratio is 2 Bilt points = 1 Amtrak point. This time, the bonus depends on your membership tier:

• Blue 25%, Silver 50%, Gold 75%, Platinum 100%;
• Platinum members can also pay an extra $400 in Bilt Cash to raise the bonus to 125%.
• You can transfer up to 100,000 Bilt Points during this promotion.

Hilton's standard transfer ratio is 1:1.

• This time the bonuses are higher: Blue 75%, Silver 100%, Gold 150%, Platinum 175%;
• Platinum members can pay $200 in Bilt Cash to get up to a 200% bonus.
• The maximum transfer is also 100,000 Bilt Points during this promotion.

In addition, Hilton is also offering temporary elite status this time: Blue / Silver members can get Hilton Silver, Gold members can get Hilton Gold, and Platinum members can get Hilton Diamond. The status is valid through December 31, 2026. After that, members can also participate in a 90-day challenge: Blue / Silver members can get Gold after staying 6 nights; Gold / Platinum members can earn or retain Diamond through 2027 after staying 12 nights.

My take is that for Amtrak, you should note that the base ratio is already 2:1, so even with a 100% bonus, it is only equivalent to 1:1. Still, Amtrak points are relatively valuable, so if you have a specific use in mind, it could be worth transferring. Hilton's numbers look bigger, but Hilton points themselves are worth less, so even with a 200% bonus, it is not that exciting. The Hilton Gold / Diamond Challenge offer is pretty good, though.

Even if this month's bonuses are not useful for everyone, there are 12 fixed promotions every year, so eventually there will be one you can use. In the meantime, just keep earning points aggressively.
