US Bank Shopper Cash Rewards (6%)
US Bank Shopper Cash Rewards is a credit card with a $95 annual fee. It offers selectable 6% and 3% cash back at certain merchants. You can choose two merchants for 6% cash back from Ace Hardware, Amazon.com, Anthropologie, Apple, Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Best Buy, Chewy.com, Crate & Barrel, Disney, Home Depot, Ikea, Kohl's, Lowe's, Lululemon, Macy's, Menards, Nordstrom, Pottery Barn, QVC, Restoration Hardware, Target,Walmart, Wayfair.com, and Williams Sonoma. Both online and in-store purchases qualify for 6% cash back. However, the 6% rate applies only to the first $1,500 in purchases each quarter; after that, it drops to 1%.
That said, this card does have a $95 annual fee. If your spending is not high, you may be better off choosing another credit card with no annual fee.

Chase Amazon Rewards is a no-annual-fee credit card. If you have an Amazon Prime membership, this card offers 5% cash back at Amazon. In addition, it also offers rewards at Whole Foods and more, making it a very solid no-annual-fee card. This 5% cash back has no cap, so for frequent Amazon shoppers, it is arguably one of the most worthwhile cards to keep.

BofA Customized Cash Rewards (3%)
BofA Customized Cash Rewards is a no-annual-fee credit card. You can choose online shopping as the 3% cash back category (other options include travel, dining, gas, drug store, and home improvement). This card’s online shopping category covers the vast majority of online merchants, including Amazon. Keep in mind that the 3% online shopping category has a cap: combined with the 2% categories, only the first $2,500 per quarter qualifies.
In addition, this card also earns 2% cash back at grocery stores and wholesale clubs (Costco, Sam's Club, etc.), and 1% on all other purchases. If you keep a sizable balance in your checking account, your rewards can receive up to a 75% bonus. That works out to 5.25% (online shopping) / 3.5% (grocery stores) / 1.75% (other) cash back, which is very competitive. This card also offers perks such as free museum admission every month, a free credit score, BofA Deals, and more.

Other Credit Cards
In addition to the cards above that cover Amazon year-round, some other cards offer 5% back at Amazon in certain quarters. These categories are more likely to appear in Q3 or Q4.
- Chase Freedom Flex: Amazon in Q2, PayPal 5x points in Q4
- Discover it: PayPal in Q3, Amazon.com and digital wallets for 5% cash back in Q4
There is also another way to save money on Amazon: buy Amazon.com gift cards at other merchants, then load them to your Amazon account for direct use. For example, if you buy Amazon gift cards at grocery stores and use a card that earns high rewards at supermarkets, you are effectively earning elevated rewards on Amazon indirectly. Common merchants and the corresponding credit cards are listed below.

- Gas stations: Credit Cards for Gas and EV Charging "Updated 2024.6"
Summary
The annual fees on these cards that offer elevated Amazon cash back are all fairly low. You can decide based on your Amazon spending whether it is worth applying specifically for an Amazon-related card, and whether you need a version with an annual fee. Note that Chase Amazon is theoretically subject to the 5/24 rule, but in practice it seems not to be restricted by it.
