I’m writing a dedicated post about this deal because it has been showing up repeatedly over the past several years. Whenever it appears, each Amazon account can get this $10 off through the method described in this article. If I count it up, I’ve probably gotten it four or five times already. Since this deal is available again now, here’s a detailed walkthrough of the process and steps!
【2019.5 Update】The Wells Fargo $10 promotion is back, and this round ends on July 31. If you don’t have a Wells Fargo card but received this offer, you can still use a friend’s card to trigger the $10 off in your own account. Note that only Wells Fargo credit cards work; debit cards likely do not.
【9/3 Update】The Discover $10 promotion is back again, and this round ends on October 31. I’ve already used it countless times before, and I was still able to get it again this time. If one of your accounts sees the offer, remember to use the method below to add it to all of your accounts. If you really can’t get it to show up, try changing your 1-Click payment method from Discover to another credit card first, then try again.

Amazon One-Click Offer Overview
This offer works by adding an eligible credit card as your Amazon 1-Click payment method. Then, when you buy something on Amazon and pay with that card, you can get a one-time $10 off. “1-Click” means clicking the 1-Click button on a product page, which automatically purchases the item using your default address and payment method. One important thing to note: once you activate this offer, you can still see the $10 off at checkout even if you do not use 1-Click to place the order, but you must pay with the same card that was set as your 1-Click payment method.
Each Amazon account can get the $10 off once, assuming you have a card eligible for the offer. If you have N Amazon accounts, that is basically N*10.
How to Get the Citi Card Version (Expired)
There is a chance that the Citi version of the 1-Click $10 off offer may show up. Even better, if you have multiple accounts, you may be able to use the surfaced offer to add it to all of them. Also, if your friend can see this offer, they may be able to help trigger it for you.
- Go to: Citi one-click $10 off link
- If you were not targeted like me, you’ll see the screen below. If you do see the screen that lets you add 1-Click, congratulations!
- If one of your accounts has it, remember that you can use a method similar to the Discover section below to add it to other Amazon accounts or help someone else add it. The important part is: same browser + different offer ID.
How to Get the Discover Version (YMMV)
There is a chance that the Discover version of the 1-Click $10 off offer may show up. Even better, if you have multiple accounts, you may be able to use the surfaced offer to add it to all of them. Also, if your friend can see this offer, they may be able to help trigger it for you.
Basic Steps
If you can see this offer, don’t rush to add it right away. You may be able to use the page that shows the offer to get the $10 off on several accounts. See the steps later in this post for details.
- Click to enter the Amazon homepage. If you’re lucky, you may see the $10 off offer directly.
- Click the “save $10” ad link, and you’ll see the activation page for the offer.
- Click “change 1-click setting,” then switch it to your Discover card to activate the offer. After the change, the page should look like the screenshot below.
- Add any item sold by Amazon to your cart, and you should see the $10 off.
How to Trigger the Offer
If you don’t see this offer when you enter the homepage, the steps below may help make it appear.
- Go to the Amazon homepage and sign in to your account first (you must be signed in).
- Then click: Discover one-click $10 link. You’ll probably see the screen below.
- Then go back to the Amazon homepage, and you may now see that ad! (No guarantee, but I personally succeeded once.)
Adding It to Multiple Accounts
If you managed to trigger this offer and have multiple household accounts, or want to add this offer for friends, you can use the following method. I personally tested it and it works.
- Go to the Amazon homepage. Once you see the offer, right-click and select “copy link address” (the link contains a targeted offer ID).
- Then open an incognito/private browser window and go to the Amazon homepage.
- Sign in to the account you want to add the offer to (you must be signed in), then paste the copied link into the address bar and open it. You should now see the same offer and can add it to that account by following the steps above.
- If you still have more Amazon accounts to add, go back to the original Amazon homepage and refresh it first. A new offer ID will be generated. After refreshing, click “copy link address” again, then use the new link in incognito mode to sign in and add the offer to another account.
- If you want to add this offer for a friend, you can sign in to the Amazon account that surfaced the offer on your friend’s computer browser. That way, their browser will be able to see the offer too, and it will generate another new offer ID, which your friend can then use to add the offer to their own account.
Things to Note
- There is no guarantee you can trigger it, but once you do, you can keep using the same browser to add it to other accounts.
- This $10 off can only be used on items sold by Amazon.
Best Way to Use It
Although the terms require you to use a certain credit card as the payment method in the end, if your account has a gift card balance greater than “item price - 10,” you can still see this $10 off even if the order is fully covered by gift card balance. Other credits on your account also do not interfere with this credit.
- For example, in the screenshot below I bought an Amazon tripod. The total was $23.49 + $7.57 shipping, and the order automatically used the Discover $10 off, an existing $10 credit on my account, and $11.06 in gift card balance.
If shipping charges make it hard to fully use this $10, you can use Amazon Subscribe and Save to waive shipping. See:
Things to Note
- The $10 off obtained here can only be used on items sold by Amazon. It cannot be used on third-party sellers or Amazon gift cards.
- The same card can be used to get this promotion on different Amazon accounts.
- After you get the offer, the $10 off will expire eventually, but since it’s only a small amount, most people will probably use it up quickly.
