[Update 2023.5] People who submitted claims are now receiving emails, and each person will receive a $35 payment.
As Administrator for the matter, we’re sending you this courtesy email to inform you that on May 31, 2023, you will receive a payment notification email that contains a link to claim your payment electronically. Once you receive that email, you will have until September 28, 2023, to claim your payment.
At the same time, the status on the official website has also been updated: payments for everyone who submitted a claim have already been issued. You can check whether you received yours.
Zoom was hit with a class action lawsuit over allegations that it shared users’ personal information with third parties without permission. Although the company did not admit wrongdoing, it agreed to a settlement totaling $85,000,000. Users who downloaded, registered for, opened, or used Zoom between March 30, 2016 and July 30, 2021 were eligible to submit a claim. The claim form had to be completed and submitted by March 5, 2022.
The amount each person could receive varied. If you were a paid subscriber, you could claim $25 or 15% of your subscription fees with a payment invoice. Users who did not pay could receive up to $15.
