How to Use Upside

To earn cashback with Upside, follow these steps:

  • After opening the app, it will show nearby gas stations with available cashback offers (you can also manually search by zipcode or address)
  • Tap “Claim” and then go fuel up
  • Most gas stations currently support purchase tracking through a linked credit card, so you’ll need to link your credit card in advance. Path: Profile -> My Wallet -> Add a new card
  • Within 4 hours after fueling, confirm “I’ve paid.” If the station does not support linked-card purchase tracking, you will need to upload your gas receipt within the required time in order to receive cashback.

Cash Out

The cashback you earn can be redeemed for various gift cards, such as Amazon, Apple, Target, and Walmart, starting at $10. You can also cash out via PayPal and Check, with no minimum amount required.
