Overview of LAS Lounges

There are 4 lounges inside the secure area at Las Vegas International Airport, mainly concentrated around the D and E gates. The well-known AMEX Centurion Lounge and United Club are both located in the D concourse. The remaining two are The Club lounges, one at D gates and the other at E gates. Based on the signs posted along the way, it looked like the D-gate The Club had only recently opened. Because of our flight, we chose to visit The Club Lounge near the E gates, using the Priority Pass benefit that comes with the Chase Sapphire Reserve and AMEX Platinum.

The Club Experience

This lounge is located directly across from Gate E2. Hours are 5: 00 AM-12: 00 AM. It offers free Wi-Fi, food, and drinks, and the entry fee is $40/day. The reason I’m specifically mentioning the price is that the two American couples ahead of us in line both paid with their credit cards to enter. I was honestly a little stunned at the time. My first reaction was basically: wow, so people really do pay out of pocket to get into airport lounges.

Overall Layout

The decor, lighting, and overall design at this The Club are still fairly modern, though the lounge also feels a bit dated. I think that mostly comes from the ceiling height and ceiling design, which are structural limitations and probably not easy to change. The main area is to the right after you walk in: a large rectangular space divided into 4 clearly defined sections—a food pickup and social area, a dining and lounge area, a relaxation area, and a business area. The restrooms are on the left after the entrance and feel a bit older than the main lounge space. The shower room is built inside the restroom area, and when it’s not in use, the door stays open and unlocked, so it appears that no reservation is needed and you can just use it when available.

Bar, Food Area, and Social Space

As soon as you enter the lounge, you can see the bar and the food area, along with a tall communal island table in the middle. There are plenty of outlets, which is very convenient.

Summary

This lounge is well-equipped in all the ways that matter, with solid food options and good service. It’s definitely worth a visit if you can’t get into the Centurion Lounge or if you’re at the E gates and don’t feel like walking far.
