Through Swagbucks, an online rewards site, click through to donate to Operation Smile. If you donate $20 or more, you can earn 2500 Swagbucks (worth $25), so donating $20 and getting $25 back means you come out $5 ahead. The SB will show as pending right away and become available after 7 days. (Thanks to reader Vivian for the tip.)
One of the best uses of SB is redeeming 2200SB for a $25 Amazon, Walmart, or Target gift card. 2500SB can also be redeemed directly for $25 in PayPal Credit.

Each SB account can only earn the Operation Smile donation deal once. These deals are usually limited-time offers, so once they expire, they are gone.
How to Get It
- Sign up for Swagbucks: Swagbucks sign-up link (new users get 500SB; see how to earn it in this article)
- In the search bar at the top of Swagbucks, search for Operation Smile, and you should see this deal
- Click View Offer to go directly to the offer page, where you can see the details
- Select a $20 donation. If you do not want to donate monthly, make sure you do not check the monthly donation box
- You can choose to pay by credit card (PayPal kept giving me an error). After checkout is complete, you will reach the thank-you page
- You can now see 2500SB pending in your SB account activity. It will remain pending for 7 days and then become available
- You will also receive an email from SB confirming the 2500SB

- If you are interested, the donation may also be tax-deductible when you file your taxes, so in theory you could come out even further ahead. A few minutes later, you should receive a confirmation receipt from Operation Smile, which can be used as proof of the donation deduction when filing taxes

- You must click through to Operation Smile from the Swagbucks link and then complete the donation
