Rove Miles has added Copa Airlines ConnectMiles as a 1:1 transfer partner and launched a 40% transfer bonus: every 1,000 Rove Miles transferred earns 1,400 ConnectMiles. The offer ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on September 30, 2026.

This 40% bonus is still pretty good. Copa is best for flights routed through Panama to Central and South America and the Caribbean, and you can also redeem ConnectMiles for some Star Alliance partners. That said, ConnectMiles is not a particularly versatile mileage program. For the same Star Alliance award, it is worth comparing the miles and taxes required by other Rove partners such as Aeroplan and Turkish Airlines. I recommend finding the specific award first, then transferring only the amount you need—don’t stockpile a huge balance of ConnectMiles just because of the 40% bonus.

Rove has also added Frontier as a transfer partner at 1:1. In addition, from now through July 31, there is an extra 25% bonus, for an effective 1:1.25 rate.

Introduction to Rove Miles

Rove Miles is a new loyalty program launched in 2025 and billed as the first universal airline mile. Its core feature is that you can join for free with no credit card required, earn Rove Miles through everyday spending and travel bookings, and redeem them for flights and hotels or transfer them to multiple airline and hotel partners.

As an innovative program aimed at younger travelers and people with limited credit histories, Rove combines the strengths of shopping portals like Rakuten and credit-card travel booking platforms like Chase Travel. Its biggest appeal is that even if you do not have a premium travel credit card, you can still accumulate flexible, transferable miles through a model similar to cash-back shopping. Rove does not have a mobile app yet, but the web experience is fully featured and supports a browser extension for one-click activation of offers.

Through the Rove Miles website shopping portal or browser extension, click through to partner merchants (such as apparel, electronics, and department stores) to make purchases and earn Rove Miles back at different rates.

Hotel bookings

The hotel booking page clearly shows the cash price, miles required, miles earned from the stay, and the estimated value per mile. Some "Loyalty Eligible" hotels let you earn Rove Miles plus the hotel’s own points at the same time (double-dipping).

  • For example, the hotel below shows how many Rove Miles you would earn by booking directly with a credit card, and what value your miles would have if you booked with Rove Miles. That’s very convenient.

Some hotels may also offer extremely generous mileage-earning promotions.

Of course, the most important thing when booking a hotel is to compare prices! The price shown by Rove may be much higher than the hotel’s own website or other third-party platforms (after all, they give back more). You can calculate the final booking price after subtracting the value of the miles you get back, and then compare that with the price elsewhere.

Flight bookings

In general, you can usually earn 1–10 miles per $1 spent, depending on the booking. Check the booking page for the exact rate. For example, an Alaska Airlines economy fare from Denver to Seattle only earns 1 mile per dollar, which is average at best.

Redeeming miles: transfer partners

Rove currently has 15 airline and hotel transfer partners, most at a 1:1 transfer ratio (Accor is 1.5:1). This is one of Rove’s most valuable features, since you can transfer miles into traditional mileage programs and use sweet spots to book high-value rewards.

I personally really like this page because everything is listed together and promotions are called out directly. The most useful partner is probably JAL, since besides Rove only Bilt, Capital One, and Marriott can transfer to it. Cathay, Air France, and Qatar are also useful and make great complements to UR, MR, and TYP.

Limited-time transfer bonuses

Rove has launched several transfer bonuses before, and they have been very generous.

  • Aeroplan is now a transfer partner, with the standard rate at 1:1. There is currently a limited-time 25% bonus, bringing the rate to 1:1.25, and the offer ends June 6.
  • Transfer Rove Miles to Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles and receive a 50% bonus. The final rate is 1:1.5, and the offer ends June 30.

Earn both sets of points at once

When you book a "Loyalty Eligible" hotel on the Rove platform, you can earn Rove Miles while also stacking the hotel’s official points (such as Marriott, Hyatt, and others). In addition, when you pay for purchases on Rove with any credit card, the transaction is usually coded as travel, so you can also earn your card’s own travel rewards at the same time (for example, 2x points on the Chase Sapphire Preferred).

Flexible search for "any destination"

Rove Miles’ flight search supports entering “Anywhere,” which makes it easy for flexible travelers to find the best award redemptions or cash fares from their departure airport to major regions. This feature is similar to Seats.aero’s Explore mode.

No annual fee, no credit card hurdle

All users in the U.S. and some international regions can sign up for free, with no Social Security Number required and no credit check. As long as you have a phone number, you can register and start using it, which is very convenient!

Is it worth using?

Rove Miles is best suited for the following two groups:

  1. Travelers with shorter credit histories or those who don’t want to apply for travel credit cards: You can spend with cash or a debit card and still earn transferable miles through the shopping portal and hotel bookings.
  2. Advanced users who already have travel credit cards: Use Rove as a supplemental tool—when booking "Loyalty Eligible" hotels, you can earn Rove miles, hotel points, and credit card rewards at the same time for a triple dip.

After using it myself, I found their site very smooth and the experience quite good. For people who want to earn extra transferable points, having one more option like Rove is great for filling in gaps. And you can simply sign up directly without providing any extra personal information, which is still much more convenient than applying for a card. Rove’s biggest competitor is Bilt. Bilt is also expanding into hotel, airline, and transfer promotions, but its main focus is still paying rent and mortgages.

  • Do Rove miles expire?: Under the current policy, miles do not expire as long as the account remains active (at least one earning or redemption activity every 18 months).
  • Does it support users outside the U.S.?: Sign-ups are available in some countries and regions, but shopping portal merchants are mainly aimed at the U.S. market.
  • Can other points be transferred into Rove?: At the moment, Rove is a one-way outbound transfer program and does not support inbound transfers from external points programs.
  • How long do transfers to miles take?: They usually post within 24–48 hours, and limited-time bonuses are calculated automatically. In practice, most seem to post instantly!
