Rove Miles has added Copa Airlines ConnectMiles as a 1:1 transfer partner and is launching a 40% transfer bonus: for every 1,000 Rove Miles transferred, you can receive 1,400 ConnectMiles. The promotion runs through September 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time. A 40% bonus is quite good. Copa is best for redeeming flights to Central America, South America, and the Caribbean via Panama, and you can also use ConnectMiles to book some Star Alliance partners. That said, ConnectMiles is not a particularly broadly useful mileage program. For the same Star Alliance award ticket, you can also compare the miles and taxes required by other Rove partners such as Aeroplan and Turkish Airlines. I recommend finding a specific award ticket first and then transferring based on your actual needs, rather than stockpiling a large amount of ConnectMiles just because you see a 40% bonus.

Rove has also added Frontier as a transfer partner at a 1:1 ratio. In addition, from now through July 31, there is an extra 25% bonus, making the ratio 1:1.25.

Introduction to Rove Miles

Rove Miles is a new loyalty program launched in 2025 and bills itself as the “first universal airline mile.” Its core feature is that you can join for free without holding any credit card, earn Rove miles through everyday spending and travel bookings, and use them to redeem flights, hotels, or transfer to multiple airline and hotel partners.

As an innovative program aimed at younger travelers and people with shorter credit histories, Rove combines the advantages of shopping portals (such as Rakuten) and credit card travel booking platforms (such as Chase Travel). Its biggest highlight is that even if you do not have a premium travel credit card, you can still accumulate flexible transferable miles in a way similar to shopping portal rewards. Rove does not yet have a mobile app, but its web experience is fully functional and supports a browser extension for quickly activating rewards.

Through the shopping portal on the Rove Miles website or its browser extension, you can click through to partner merchants (such as apparel, electronics, department stores, and more) and complete purchases to earn Rove miles back at varying rates.

Hotel Bookings

The hotel booking page clearly shows the cash price, miles required, miles you can earn for the stay, and the estimated value per mile. Some “Loyalty Eligible” hotels allow you to earn Rove miles plus the hotel’s own points at the same time (double dipping).

  • For example, the hotel below shows how many Rove Miles you can earn if you pay directly with a credit card, and what redemption value you get if you book with Rove Miles. This is quite convenient.

In addition, some hotels may offer extremely high mileage rebates.

Of course, the most important thing when booking hotels is to compare prices! The prices shown by Rove may be much higher than the official website or other third-party platforms (after all, it is giving back a lot of miles). You can calculate the final hotel booking price after subtracting the value of the mileage rebate, and then compare it with prices elsewhere.

Flight Bookings

In general, you can usually earn 1–10 miles per dollar spent, with the exact rate shown on the booking page. For example, an Alaska Airlines economy flight from Denver to Seattle earns only 1 mile per dollar, which is not especially compelling.

Mileage Redemptions: Transfer Partners

Rove currently has 15 airline and hotel transfer partners, most at a 1:1 transfer ratio (Accor is 1.5:1). This is Rove’s most valuable feature, allowing you to transfer miles to traditional mileage programs and use award chart sweet spots for high-value redemptions.

I personally really like this page of theirs: everything is listed together, and promotions are clearly marked as well. The most useful partner is probably Japan Airlines, since outside of Rove, only Bilt, Capital One, and Marriott can transfer to it. In addition, Cathay Pacific, Air France/KLM, and Qatar Airways are all useful and can serve as excellent supplements to UR, MR, and TYP.

Limited-Time Transfer Bonuses

Rove has previously offered several transfer bonuses, and they have been quite strong.

  • Aeroplan has now been added as a transfer partner, with a standard ratio of 1:1. There is currently a limited-time promotion with a 25% bonus, increasing the ratio to 1:1.25. The promotion ends on June 6.
  • Transfers from Rove Miles to Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles can receive a 50% mileage bonus. The final ratio is 1:1.5, and the promotion ends on June 30.
  • Transfer to Japan Airlines (JAL Mileage Bank): through March 31, 2026, receive 50% bonus miles (that is, a 1:1.5 transfer ratio)

When booking “Loyalty Eligible” hotels on the Rove platform, you can earn Rove miles while also stacking hotel program points from the official hotel loyalty program (such as Marriott, Hyatt, etc.). In addition, when you use any credit card to pay for purchases on Rove, the transaction is usually coded as “travel,” allowing you to also earn the credit card’s own travel rewards (for example, 2x points with the Chase Sapphire Preferred).

Flexible search for “any destination”

Rove’s flight search supports entering “Anywhere,” which makes it easy for flexible travelers to find the best award redemptions or cash fares from their departure airport to major regions. This feature is similar to Seats.aero’s Explore mode.

No annual fee, no credit card hurdle

All users in the U.S. and some international regions can sign up for free, with no Social Security Number required and no credit check. As long as you have a phone number, you can register and start using it, which is very convenient!

Is it worth using?

Rove Miles is best suited for the following two groups:

  1. Travelers with shorter credit histories or those who don’t want to apply for travel credit cards: You can spend with cash or a debit card and still earn transferable miles through the shopping portal and hotel bookings.
  2. Advanced users who already have travel credit cards: Use Rove as a supplemental tool—when booking “Loyalty Eligible” hotels, you can earn Rove miles, hotel points, and credit card rewards at the same time for a triple dip.

After using it myself, I found their site very smooth and the experience quite good. For people who want to earn extra transferable points, having one more option like Rove is great for filling in gaps. And you can simply sign up directly without providing any extra personal information, which is still much more convenient than applying for a card. Rove’s bigger competitor is Bilt. Bilt is also expanding into hotels, airlines, and transfer promotions, but its main focus is still paying rent and mortgages.

  • Do Rove miles expire?: Under the current policy, miles do not expire as long as the account remains active (at least one earning or redemption activity every 18 months).
  • Does it support users outside the U.S.?: Sign-ups are available in some countries and regions, but shopping portal merchants are mainly aimed at the U.S. market.
  • Can other points be transferred into Rove?: At the moment, Rove is a one-way outbound transfer program and does not support inbound transfers from external points programs.
  • How long do transfers to miles take?: They usually post within 24–48 hours, and limited-time bonuses are calculated automatically. In practice, most seem to post instantly!
