About MaxRebates

I came across this new cashback portal, MaxRebates, while searching for the site offering the highest cash back rate for Saks.com. After taking a look, it seemed to have relatively high cash back rates at quite a few shopping sites I use regularly, so I wanted to introduce it here. Based on its Twitter posts, it appears to have been launched in early 2021. The interface is fairly clean, and the site loads pretty quickly.

Sign-Up and Welcome Bonus

Right now, if you sign up for MaxRebates through a referral link, you can receive a random bonus ranging from $5-$50. To cash it out, you need to spend at least $25 at other merchants through this cashback portal within 90 days. I tried my luck and got $6.4, so not exactly the best result. Maybe you can keep refreshing and start with a higher bonus?

It appears that the referrer receives the same bonus amount as well.

Basic Features

Earn Cash Back

Just use the MaxRebates search bar to look up the store where you want to shop. For example, if you search for Saks, you can see the store overview and which items are eligible for cash back. Enter the Saks website through the Shop Now button and complete your purchase, and that purchase should earn cash back.

Click Tracking

After you click through from MaxRebates to another merchant, the record of that click will appear in Click History. If your cash back does not track properly, you can use this when submitting a claim to show the time of your click.

Cash Out

Once the cash back in your account exceeds a certain amount, you can request a payout. The minimum withdrawal is $10, and the maximum is $2,000. Check and PayPal are supported.

Merchants That May Appeal to Chinese Users

After registering, you can switch to the Chinese-language page to browse some merchants that may be especially useful for Chinese users. For example, stores that ship directly to China can be helpful if you want to send things back home.

Daily Hot Deals

You can filter for deals that interest you in the hot deal section. If the site offers cash back for that store, clicking through the deal to make a purchase can also earn cash back at the same time.

There are also daily recommendations for merchants currently offering relatively high cash back rates.

Summary

Overall, this site does not have especially distinctive features. It may simply be because it is relatively new, but the cash back rates at many merchants are higher than those of more established cashback portals. If you happen to find better cash back for a store where you already plan to shop, it may be worth a try. And if you happen to get a great welcome bonus, getting $50 for free would not be bad either.
