According to a message on the official application page, the Marriott Bold card (no annual fee) will no longer offer the 15 elite night benefit starting July 10, and 2X on travel will also be removed. New benefits will replace them, but what they are has not yet been announced. For a no-annual-fee card, giving away 15 elite nights is indeed a bit much.
^^ On 7/11/2024, Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit cardmembers will no longer receive the following benefits with their card: Earn 2X points per $1 spent on other travel purchases; Receive 15 Elite Night Credits per calendar year, qualifying you for Silver Elite status.
That said, there aren’t many people holding this card anyway. Anyone with even a little travel spending usually goes for the Marriott Boundless card with Free Night. Paying a $95 annual fee in exchange for a hotel night certificate worth $130+ is still a good deal. And there is currently a 5FN offer, so those interested can consider it.
