[2022.8 Update] After using it for a while, we found that Kashly surprisingly supports all link-shortening use cases—yes, all of them, including short links that are not merchant or purchase links.

Today we’re introducing another flagship product under FatCoupon—Kashly. Kashly provides commission-based short links, letting you earn cashback when others make purchases through your shared link (as long as they did not use shopping portals).

  • Create your own cashback short link through Kashly (starting with https://kash.ly/)
  • Share that short link through your blog, social media, email, etc.
  • If anyone places an order through that link, you earn a commission
  • The commission rate is the same as that store’s cashback rate on FatCoupon

There are many similar commission-sharing models in China, but this kind of cashback-sharing setup is less common in the US. Kashly currently supports more than 10,000 stores worldwide. For example: HP 10% cashback, NORDSTROM 2.1% cashback, Best Buy 2.4% cashback, Walmart 2.4% cashback, and so on.

A few notes:

  • You can also earn cashback by using your own Kashly link for your own purchase.
  • There is no Amazon cashback. Amazon strictly prohibits this kind of rebate-sharing model.
  • Apple Store is not supported yet, but it will probably be added in the future.
  • Next, we’ll briefly go over how to use it and share a few suggestions.

Using short links

On the web version (Kashly does not have an app for now), find the “Shorten your link” section on the right side as shown below.

You can paste in the merchant’s official website link, or a long merchant link copied directly from various deal sites (it needs to start with the merchant’s website domain; length does not matter), and drop it into the shortening box.

After that, you can customize the title of the short link for easier management. It currently supports copying, as well as one-click sharing to facebook and Twitter.

To summarize the main features of Kashly URLs:

  • Supports official store websites, such as www.bestbuy.com and www.walmart.com
  • Also supports links as long as they start with the official merchant website, no matter how long they are
  • Supports copy and one-click sharing (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

Cashing out

Cashback may take up to 7 days to appear in your account, and it generally takes about 3 months before it becomes available to cash out. On the web version, you can see the cashback you’ve earned, while the sign-up bonus is visible immediately.

Note that you need at least $20 in withdrawable balance before you can redeem it. Cash-out currently supports Zelle, Check, and Alipay.

Referral bonus

Kashly’s referral bonus is similar to FatCoupon’s: the referrer receives a bonus equal to 20% of the referred user’s cashback. In actual testing, the 20% bonus was received every day, but YMMV.

Summary

  • Kashly’s model is pretty good, especially for bloggers, influencers, group admins, and people who share deals.
  • Likewise, if someone sends you a Kashly link and you want to earn the cashback yourself, you’ll need to go through your own cashback link. If you think the other person did a good job promoting it, though, using their Kashly link and letting them earn a little cashback is also reasonable.
