I opened my inbox early this morning and found an email from IRS. It said there was a problem with my tax return, and that a $976 tax refund was going to be sent to me. The email looked quite official, and I almost believed it. The wording was very formal, and the images looked fine too.

But the last sentence felt a little strange

For your convenience, we recommend not using a prepaid card, because sending funds does not support this card.

Still, based on experience, I checked the sender. Hmm, why does this name look a little odd? It turned out to be special characters... This was undeniably a scam email.
