Update: the link is dead. 3798, FlyerTalk, and TravelUpdate all reported that Nordic Choice Platinum members could get free Hertz President's Circle status. However, some people discovered that even regular members could be upgraded to Hertz President's Circle, creating an opportunity to get free Hertz elite status. Nordic Choice is a Nordic hotel group. It partners with the US-based Choice Hotel group and shares some hotel brands, but they are not the same company.
How to get Hertz President's Circle?
- Go to the Nordic Choice website and register a loyalty account (this may not be strictly required, but we recommend doing it);
- Go to the promotion link and enter your personal information and Hertz member number;
After 3 days, we received an email from Hertz. After logging in at hertz.com, the account had already been upgraded to President's Circle.
Main benefits of Hertz President's Circle
President's Circle members can enjoy:- A complimentary one-class car upgrade when confirmed in advance;
- 675 Hertz Gold Plus Rewards points after every 15 rentals;
- A 25% bonus on Hertz points earned from rentals;
- Guaranteed vehicle availability within 48 hours (standard sedan categories only)
The value of a one-class car upgrade may only be a few dollars each time, so it is not worth that much. And Hertz rental prices are generally on the expensive side, so this is not necessarily a great deal. Still, you never know when it might come in handy. This bug has already been exposed by several blogs, so it probably will not last long. Our suggestion: if you see it, don't miss it—grab the status first.
