【2020/04/10 更新】Amazon $50 gift card redemption suddenly came back again. It also has a more American-style interface now (I’ll just leave it at the door).

Earlier we mentioned that Amazon, Walmart, and Macy's recently all removed Shopping Portals.

However, Drop is a special case. KUKU found that Drop is still offering cashback for Walmart and Macy's (not the kind tied to the card)

Walmart: 20 points/$

  • You need to click Shop Now, then you’ll be redirected to the Walmart app to shop
  • This cashback does not conflict with the previously linked Walmart cashback (the one that tracks credit card spending, 0.1% or 0.5%)
  • Terms: pay attention to what is not eligible for cashback.

Macy's: 20 points/$

  • You need to click Shop Now, then be taken to the website or choose to have a link sent to your email, and then shop
  • This cashback does not conflict with the previously linked Macy's cashback (the one that tracks credit card spending, and I’m not sure what the rate is anymore...)
  • Terms: Apple products are not eligible for cashback

Does the previously linked Amazon cashback still work?

First, one thing to note: Drop has been pretty annoying lately and changed Amazon gift card redemptions again. They had just raised the redemption threshold to $50 a while ago, now redemptions are unavailable (based on my data), or the minimum is $75 (based on reader DarkIce's data)...

For the previously linked Amazon cashback, there are a few possibilities:

  • If you haven’t used Drop in a long time, it’s probably gone.
  • If you have been using Drop continuously, then it is now 0.5% (based on my data) or 0.1% (based on reader DarkIce's data)
