Over the past few days, Discover has been sending out a series of targeted extra spending bonus offers by email. With Q4 shopping in full swing, these are definitely worth a look. Check your inbox to see if you received one and simply activate it if you did. The offers come in several different forms, including:
- Spend $2,500, get $250 back (there is also a version for spend $1,000, get $100 back)
- An extra 4% cash back on all purchases, on up to $2,000 in spending (there is also a 2% cash back version).
- An extra 6% cash back at supermarkets (there are also versions for Walmart or Digital Wallets purchases)
All of the offers reported above can be stacked with the card’s own quarterly 5% cash back category bonus as well as the standard 1% cash back on other purchases, so the total return can be quite substantial.
