According to an announcement on Costco’s official website, Costco membership fees will increase on September 1. The standard membership will go from $60 to $65, and the Executive membership will go from $120 to $135. The maximum 2% reward will also increase by $250.

With this increase, all U.S. and Canada Gold Star, Business and Business add-on members will pay an annual fee of $65. Also effective September 1, annual fees for Executive Memberships in the U.S. and Canada will increase from $120 to $130 (Primary membership of $65, plus the Executive upgrade of $65) , and the maximum annual 2% Reward associated with the Executive Membership will increase from $1,000 to $1,250.

In addition, according to DOC, if you renew your membership or sign up for a new membership on the Costco website now and use code: CJGPNMBR at checkout, you can get an extra $40 Costco Shop Card bonus for the basic membership, or a $40 gift card + $60 off $200 coupon for the Executive membership. It may be worth a try. The earliest you can renew is one month in advance.
