About the status match

Club Avolta, the airport duty-free alliance, is still offering status matching, but the rules have changed from before. You can now use airline or hotel status to get Club Avolta Gold status for free, valid for 1 year. The current public Status Match no longer lets you match directly to the top-tier Platinum status. Club Avolta can still be matched onward to elite status with Radisson hotels.

The range of eligible airlines and hotels is very broad, and basically most mainstream airline and hotel members can apply. This round of the public promotion matches everyone to Gold, so members of Hilton, IHG, Marriott, and similar programs can give it a try.

About Club Avolta

Club Avolta has a wide store footprint, with 5,000+ locations in airports worldwide. Europe has the largest concentration of stores, so it may be worth using when you travel.

Club Avolta elite status offers up to a 10% discount, which can be quite worthwhile if you shop at duty-free stores often. The Gold status obtained through the current public Status Match can get up to 7% off airport shopping and up to 5% off dining.

When you shop, remember to have the merchant scan your code.

In addition, Club Avolta also partners with a number of airlines, hotels, lounges, and restaurants to offer extra points or discounts.

Matching Radisson

In August 2026, Club Avolta reopened the promotion to match Radisson Rewards elite status. If you have Club Avolta Gold or Platinum status, you can get the corresponding Radisson elite status. This is still a pretty good way to get Radisson status indirectly.

  • Club Avolta Gold → Radisson Rewards Premium
  • Club Avolta Platinum → Radisson Rewards VIP

Please note that the current public Club Avolta Status Match only gives you Gold, so for most users who newly match through the promotion above, the status they can actually match onward to is Radisson Rewards Premium. Users who already hold Club Avolta Platinum can try to match to Radisson Rewards VIP.

You no longer need to take screenshots and email them as before. Open the Club Avolta app, find Radisson Rewards under partners, and link your Club Avolta and Radisson Rewards accounts to apply for the match.
