Perhaps Chase found the promotion worthwhile, because now they are also offering a mobile wallet bonus on Chase Sapphire cards. The difference is that this time the bonus comes in the form of extra points.

Chase Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, and Sapphire cards can earn an extra 1x Ultimate Rewards point on up to $1,500 in mobile wallet purchases made between October 4 and November 4 (including Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, and Chase Pay). Regardless of the purchase category, you can earn the extra 1x points. Regular purchases would earn 2x points total, while travel and dining purchases on the Sapphire Reserve would earn 4x points total.

If you have a Sapphire card, this is a pretty good promotion. Chase Pay is not limited to phone use either, and can also be used for many online purchases. Of course, don’t forget that Discover and Chase Freedom offer 5x or 5% cash back in many categories.
