The Chase Slate card used to offer up to 15 months of 0 APR just for opening the card, making it a great option when cash was tight. Here are the card’s sign-up features (basically a pandemic-era card):

  • Within 60 days of opening the card, balance transfers were fee-free, with 15 months of interest-free balance transfers
  • New purchases came with 15 months of interest-free financing after account opening

I suspect that during the COVID-19 pandemic, too many people applied for this card, or too many people used it for spending and cash flow management with 0 APR. Chase took a beating for a while, and application pages from all channels are currently redirecting to Freedom, so this is probably a temporary removal.
