Key Features
- Discounts on Disney purchases: 10% off dining inside Disney parks, and 10% off purchases of $50 or more at other park stores and on the official website (excluding ticket purchases).
- No rewards on spending, no annual fee (though the Chase checking account itself may have a monthly fee if your balance is below $1,500).
- Easy to get: Since this is just a debit card attached to a Chase checking account, all you need to do is open a Chase checking account. There’s no hard pull from the credit bureaus, and no need to worry about being denied. After upgrading to the Disney Debit card, all original functions remain the same, and there’s no extra fee.
- Card design options: There are four choices. I picked the one on the lower left.
My Take
The main theme of these three cards is that both the spending categories and the rewards are tied to Disney. Looking at the two credit cards, neither their long-term value nor their welcome bonuses is especially compelling. If you just like Disney card designs, the debit card also comes with a few design options. If you go to Disney often, I think just getting a Chase Disney Debit card is enough. Use the debit card inside the parks for shopping and dining to get the 10% discount, and use other credit cards for ticket purchases and other spending. If you do want to apply, it makes more sense to start with the annual-fee version for the higher welcome bonus, then downgrade to the no-annual-fee version in year two.
That said, if you regularly go to Disney, especially if you like staying at the resort and spend $2,000+ per year, then the new Disney Inspire card could be worth keeping long term.

Comparison
The new Disney Inspire card was launched recently, and Disney’s official comparison is actually pretty good. The main differences among the three cards are the annual fee, rewards rate, and statement credits/reimbursements. The top-tier Disney version earns 3% back, but that’s not much better than a standard 2% card. On the credit side, though, if your Disney and ticket spending is high enough, the Inspire card can be well worth keeping. Otherwise, there’s no real need to go out of your way to apply for a Disney card.
How to Apply
- I recommend applying after you have at least 6 months of credit history. Once you’re in Chase’s ecosystem, it’s usually easy to get approved.
- It’s best to register for a Disney account before applying.
