According to the referral page for Chase business credit cards, starting October 7, 2025, if you use your own business card referral link to refer someone for a business card application, you will only receive a referral bonus if that person is a new Chase business card customer—in other words, if this is their first Chase business credit card.

Effective October 7th, 2025, you will be eligible to receive referral bonus awards for new Chase Business card customers only. Referrals of individuals with existing Chase business card accounts will no longer qualify for the referral bonus.

This is a pretty bad change and feels a bit like punishing existing customers. So going forward, if you refer a friend for a business card, you may want to ask first—otherwise you could go through the whole process and end up getting nothing yourself.
