If you purchased Breyers “Natural Vanilla” ice cream between April 21, 2016 and August 14, 2024, you may qualify for compensation from this settlement. Breyers has agreed to pay $8.85 million to resolve this class action lawsuit.

Consumers sued Conopco Inc. (Breyers’ parent company), alleging that its vanilla ice cream marketing was misleading because the product labeled “Natural Vanilla” was not sourced entirely from the vanilla plant. According to the lawsuit, the ice cream used vanilla-flavored flavoring rather than real vanilla extract. The Breyers brand is widely sold at major retailers across the United States, especially its vanilla ice cream. Although Breyers denied any wrongdoing, it agreed to pay a settlement to resolve the lawsuit.

Settlement Amount

You can receive $1 per product.

  • If you do not have proof of purchase, you can claim up to 8 products for a total of **$8**.
  • If you have proof of purchase, such as receipts or credit card statements, you may claim compensation for an unlimited number of products supported by your documentation.

Final approval hearing: November 21, 2024

Claim submission deadline: February 19, 2025

Eligible consumers must submit a valid claim form by February 19, 2025. When filing, you should provide proof of purchase, such as receipts, online order records, emails, or credit card statements, and certify that the information is true.
