This is a newly launched card. Although it has a $395 annual fee, it comes with a variety of perks and statement credits, plus an annual free night certificate and bonus points, which can more or less offset the annual fee. Overall, if you stay at Wyndham hotels often, it’s a solid card to keep.

Introduction to the Wyndham Hotel Program
- Wyndham uses a tiered award chart with three pricing levels: 7,500 / 15,000 / 30,000 points. The approximate redemption value is around 0.9 cents per point, meaning 10,000 points can redeem for about $90 in hotel value on average.
- In addition to standard points redemptions, Wyndham also offers a points + cash option, priced at 3,000 points plus some cash.
- Wyndham has some solid hotel options in places like Hawaii, the Caribbean, and the Asia-Pacific region, excluding Super 8 and Days Inn. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Caesars Entertainment formed a partnership in June 2017, so redeeming for Caesars hotels can also be a worthwhile choice.
- Wyndham Hotel Program Overview
I spent a day searching, and looking at hotels in Las Vegas shows that the 15,000-point tier still has quite a few high-value properties available. Finding one that gives you more than 1 cent per point is not a problem.
You can see that the 15,000-point tier still has quite a few high-value hotels you can redeem for. Picking one with a value above 1 cent per point is not an issue.
Our Take
This is a newly launched card. Although it has a $395 annual fee, it comes with a variety of perks and statement credits, plus an annual free night certificate and bonus points, which can more or less offset the annual fee. Overall, if you stay at Wyndham hotels often, it’s a solid card to keep. That said, this premium card does not offer common high-value features such as airport lounge access or point transfers to airline miles. If you do not stay with Wyndham, there is little reason to go out of your way to hold this card.
That said, Wyndham has a huge footprint of roadside properties across North America, but the quality of many of them is fairly average. If you usually prefer mid-scale to upscale hotels, it may be harder to get strong value from Wyndham points.
Barclays Application Guide
- Check Barclays credit card application status
- Barclays credit card applications generally pull TransUnion (TU), and HPs on the same day can be combined
- If you already have another Barclays card and your new application is not approved, there will usually be no hard pull
- You can call the reconsideration line (866-408-4064) to speed up credit card approval or request another review of a denied application. They may verify your identity and address, ask why you want the card, and review your employment and repayment situation, so be prepared. You may need to move credit limit from an existing card to get approved.
