Some Barclays AA Aviator Red cardholders have now received an email allowing them to refer friends and earn rewards. The referred applicant can get a welcome bonus of 50,000 AA miles + the first year annual fee waived. The application must be completed by October 31.
The current public offer is 60,000 miles, but the $99 annual fee is not waived for the first year. Compared with the refer-a-friend offer, the difference is 10,000 AA miles versus $99.
