About

Amazon announced a new Prime event on Oct. 8-9 called Prime Big Deal Days. Looks like they’re trying to rake in a wave of spending right as the shopping season starts. There should be more discounts on Amazon devices, and I’m guessing Apple products will follow. Details below

If you don’t have a membership yet, you can consider a few ways to get one:

Best Deal Summary

Just follow the links below. The Apple deals look pretty good.

Amazon co-branded credit card: $150 bonus + 7% cash back

From Oct. 2 through 9, the Chase Amazon credit card sign-up bonus will also be increased to $150 (it’s $100 now). If you’re thinking about applying, you might want to wait.

If you already have this card, you can earn 7% cash back on the 8th and 9th.

Which card should you use?

If you have the Amazon co-branded card above, definitely use the 7% cash back. If not, you can use the Discover it series (Discover 2024 quarterly 5% cash back calendar): the 5% categories are Amazon and Target. Amazon is familiar to everyone. Besides regular shopping, you can also use the 5% category to stock up on some Amazon gift cards and keep them in your account. In addition, they also sell all kinds of third-party gift cards, even Visa gift cards, so that’s worth considering.
