White House: COVID Vaccine Requirement for Entering the U.S. Ends May 11

According to Reuters, the U.S. will end most COVID-era restrictions on May 11, including the COVID vaccination requirement for visa holders.

Policy

Starting May 11, travelers entering the U.S. will no longer need a COVID vaccine regardless of what type of visa they hold. Entry requirements will return fully to their pre-COVID status.

One important note: immigrant visa applicants and green card applicants are still currently subject to COVID vaccination requirements. We do not yet know whether those requirements will be lifted at the same time.

In addition, COVID vaccination requirements for federal government employees, federally funded institutions (healthcare facilities), and federal contractors will also be removed.
