Detailed rules

Rules for the 2025 WeChat Pay Global Spring Festival promotion are as follows:

1. Event time: Beijing Time, January 21, 2025 14:30:00 to February 5, 2025 23:59:59.
2. Eligibility: all WeChat Pay Mainland China wallet users can participate. A "WeChat Pay Mainland wallet user" means a natural person with a Chinese mainland resident ID card who uses WeChat Pay services and has legal capacity, rather than a single WeChat account. In the following situations, related accounts will be regarded as the same user: same WeChat ID, same mobile number, same bank card number, same ID number, or same mobile device. If any one condition is met, it is treated as the same user. To safeguard reward eligibility and account safety, WeChat Pay reserves the right to suspend or permanently stop issuing rewards to abnormal accounts and to seek related remedies.
3. How to participate: During the event period, users can enter the WeChat mini program "全球有礼" to claim the exclusive "微信支付境外奇遇游记" report. This report is generated based on the user’s overseas WeChat Pay spending records between 2017 and 2024. After reading the report, users planning outbound travel for this year’s Spring Festival can receive one gift from WeChat Pay during the event period: either one "代金券" or one "惊喜汇率券." For specific usage rules, see the corresponding gift usage notes. Each user can generate the "微信支付境外奇遇游记" report once and claim one WeChat Pay gift once.
4. After successfully receiving a "代金券," users can use it when paying with WeChat Pay at qualifying offline merchants overseas that accept WeChat Pay, as long as a single transaction meets the corresponding spending threshold. When the user pays with the "代金券," the voucher amount will be automatically deducted from that transaction amount, and the voucher will immediately become invalid. The usage thresholds and conditions for the "代金券" are subject to the coupon details after claiming. The validity of the voucher follows the amount and rules shown on the voucher, and it will automatically expire after that date.
5. After successfully receiving a "惊喜汇率券," users can use it at offline merchants overseas that support WeChat Pay. By default, the usage threshold for this coupon is a single pre-discount transaction greater than 100 RMB and up to the equivalent of 50,000 RMB in foreign currency. After claiming, within the voucher validity period, users can adjust the minimum spending threshold on the coupon details page, enabling the voucher to be used on any qualifying transaction. There is no limit to how many times the minimum usage threshold can be adjusted before using it; the maximum adjustable minimum is 50,000 RMB. The "惊喜汇率券" applies to only one order. After use, the actual payment for that order is settled at the exchange rate provided by the "惊喜汇率券," and the voucher immediately expires. The validity period for the coupon is 31 days from the date it is claimed (including the 31st day). After expiry, it is automatically invalidated. The exchange-rate discount applies when the order is settled in a foreign currency (non-RMB) supported by WeChat Pay. Exchange rates fluctuate in real time; the rate displayed on the payment screen is the rate used.
6. This promotion is for "WeChat Pay Mainland wallet users" only. A "WeChat Pay Mainland wallet user" refers to a natural person holding a Chinese mainland ID card who uses WeChat Pay services and has legal capacity, and not a single WeChat account. In the following cases, related accounts will be treated as the same user: same WeChat ID, same mobile number, same bank card number, same ID number, and same mobile device. WeChat Pay reserves the right to suspend or permanently stop giving rewards to abnormal accounts and to pursue related rights to protect reward eligibility and account security.
7. If during this promotion there is force majeure, changed circumstances, or other events (including but not limited to major disasters, government orders requiring the activity to stop or be adjusted, severe cyberattacks on the activity, or system failures requiring a pause), WeChat Pay may, within the limits permitted by law, suspend, suspend operation, or terminate the promotion, and claim exoneration as provided by applicable laws and regulations.
8. By participating in this activity, users agree to comply with these rules. Within the scope of law, WeChat Pay may adjust the rules based on actual event execution. Any adjustments or changes will be published on the activity page and take effect in accordance with law upon publication. Continued participation means acceptance of the updated rules. If you do not accept changes to the rules, you should not participate in the adjusted event.
