Walgreens has been hit with multiple class action lawsuits over drug pricing issues and has now reached a settlement agreement. Walgreens will pay a total of $100,000,000 in this settlement. Individuals and entities that purchased prescription drugs at Walgreens and used prescription insurance between January 1, 2007 and November 18, 2024 (the “Settlement Class Period”) are eligible to participate. Claim forms (and required documentation) must be submitted by April 17, 2025.
The $100,000,000 Walgreens will pay will be distributed to eligible claimants under a court-approved allocation and distribution plan. Attorneys' fees are requested at up to 30% of the settlement fund, and expenses are capped at $3,000,000. Each individual plaintiff may receive a service award of up to $5,000, plus the corresponding notice and administration expenses, subject to the applicable conditions. The Court will consider the settlement at a fairness hearing on September 10, 2025. At the hearing, the Court will decide on the settlement, the net settlement fund distribution plan, and the request for attorneys' fees.

Your Legal Rights and Options
- Participate in the settlement: Submit a claim form by April 17, 2025 to receive a share of the net settlement fund.
- Exclude yourself: You may opt out so that this case will not affect you. You must notify the settlement administrator by March 18, 2025.
- Object to the settlement: You may submit your comments to the Court by March 18, 2025, but you must not opt out for your objection to be valid.
- Do nothing: If you do not submit a valid claim, you will not be entitled to any compensation and will be bound by all Court rulings.
