Virgin Voyages has reopened its status match application window, with applications accepted through March 31, 2026. Sailor Club members with an existing booking can match elite status from other cruise lines, airlines, including Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, or hotel loyalty programs, and be upgraded directly to Blue Extras. If you have a Virgin Voyages sailing booked in the near term, this may be worth applying for.
This match does not require locking in a new fare, and existing bookings are also eligible. After a successful match, members can enjoy Blue Extras benefits on their first or second sailing, including one specialty coffee per day, an exclusive cocktail event, complimentary laundry service, and dedicated customer support. Normally, these perks are only available after completing two sailings.
Applicants must submit proof of their current status and their sailing booking number through the official form, and the application must be submitted at least 7 days before departure. Notably, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Gold status can be used directly for the match. A large number of airline and hotel programs are eligible, and the easiest option for many readers will probably be hotel elite status, since many of those come automatically with a credit card.
