Virgin Red and Synchrony have launched the new Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard® credit card, a first-of-its-kind card that lets you earn points redeemable for cruises, flights, hotels, and more.
We previously knew this card would be launching later this year. Now we have all the details, along with a waiting list for those who want to get the card.
Annual Fee and Welcome Bonus
- New cardholders can earn 40,000 Virgin Points after spending $3,000 in the first 90 days.
- Earn 2,500 Virgin Points for adding authorized users, up to four additional cardholders.
- Annual fee: $99
The card’s earning structure is not especially exciting. You can earn in the following categories:
- 3x Virgin Points on Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Hotels, and Virgin Voyages purchases.
- 2x Virgin Points on dining, grocery store purchases, select streaming services, and EV charging.
- 1x Virgin Points on all other purchases.
Other benefits include:
- 5,000 Virgin Points upon card renewal.
- 25 Flying Club Tier Points for every $2,500 spent, up to 50 per month.
- A complimentary third night each year after booking two nights at participating Virgin Hotels.
When cardholders spend $15,000 or $30,000 in a calendar year, they can choose one or two of the following benefits:
- Virgin Atlantic: a companion reward voucher for a second seat or a cabin upgrade.
- Virgin Hotels: one free night or a hotel suite upgrade.
- Virgin Voyages: up to a $300 bar tab credit or a Blue Extras package.
