UA has launched a new promotion: buy miles by May 31 and you can receive up to a 100% bonus. If you fly frequently or are planning a trip, this could be a good deal. However, you need to log in to your account to see your targeted bonus, which ranges from 50% to 100% (I got 85%). If you are targeted for 100%, the cost is 1.75 cpm, which may be worth considering.

- Bonus miles count toward the annual limit of 175,000 miles
- Each account may purchase up to 175,000 miles per year
- Purchased miles usually post to your MileagePlus account when the transaction is completed, but some transactions may take up to 72 hours
- Purchasing miles is eligible to earn rewards on a United MileagePlus card
- This promotion applies only to the purchase of eligible miles
If you need to top off your miles balance or are planning a trip, this promotion could be a good option, but it is still best to buy only when necessary. If you plan to take advantage of this offer, be sure to keep the annual purchase cap in mind.
