Uber announced on its website that it will start adding fuel surcharges on March 16 and said all of the additional revenue will go to drivers. Specifically:
- Uber passengers will pay $0.45 or $0.55 in fuel surcharges per trip
- Uber Eats customers will pay $0.35 or $0.45 in fuel surcharges per order
New York will not have this fee, as drivers there have already received a 5.3% increase.
